Gallatin Gun IDPA, on Sept. 11, will have a regular monthly match with 3 stages and a shotgun side match. No extra fee for the shotgun match. About 70 pistol and 16 shotgun. Birdshot or skeet loads will work.

After I bought the magtech I found out that powder Valley had tulammo (wolf) for $21 per thousand. I t would be nice if the us primer mfgs. would catch up and get the prices back to a more normal rate. I do perfer winchester, however I have had no problems with the wolf primers I bought.

I scored some mag tech spp primers from cabelas for $24.99 per thousand. I bought 5k. they were in stock and shipped within 24 hours.

Not to fear, I will make excepions. Bring the Saiga, put 6 rounds in the mag and go for it. I may consider other exceptions for the scoped rifle class.The oversize brake won't be a problem either. I am hoping for some rule corrections by the Oct. match. The restrictions on round count is a problem for me, however I believe I can come up with good stages within the guidelines. I may have to fudge it up on at least one stage.

their are many things I do not like in these rules. I will use them in my 3-gun matches to see what works and what does not. IDPA wants feed back, I am sure they will get it. It does make set up easier with fewer targets. I wish Beach Bunny would support it with a scoring program, They do not like, as I do not like, the one class lower rule. Too many ways to call it. The way I see it, I should be in marksman if I shoot my .45. Does not make sense. Auto loader shotgun needs to be max of at least 7+1. And I would like to keep my magwell on my AR-15. Their are several misspellings and dup. rules in included and excluded. In scoped rifle, extended safety release is in included and excluded. send them feed back fellows

The doctors have given me a full release today and I will be at the match this Saturday. I think I will bring my shotgun out and play on the plate rack.

Yea, perfect sight picture, no recoil and .25 reloads. I am seeing my Doc. today, I hope to be released from restrictions. get my black Glock back out.

Michael won't give me a real one yet. He says I have to get a doctors release before I can play again. But I figure it should have been about a 85.01.

Thanks for comming out. July is a classifer. 90 rounds, all standards. Check the IDPA website for the drills. thay are always the same for the classifer match. You will need at least two mags. 4 would be better.

OK, in that case, I will set in my chair, collect money,hand out score sheets and answer questions. Was not sure if this match was covered. Setting at home is about to drive me nuts. If this weekend goes well, I will show up at Dickson and help with the sign-in. I hope by July I can start shooting and become active in the clubs operations again. On June 17th I have a check in with the doctor and hope to get released from restrictions.

Good day shooters. I plan on comming back to the range this Saturday with 3 COF's requiring about 50 rounds. I will need help setting up and running the match. I do not plan on shooting the match myself and may have to leave early if the heat gets to me. SO's shoot free. Normal match fees for everybody else. $10 for Gallatin members, $15 for non-members. I will be at the range at 7:00 AM for setup, we will try to start shooting by 9:30. Their will be a swap meet going on at the rifle shed during the IDPA match. I will try to have tents and water for those that don't bring their own. Robert:tough:

I have has a 2nd generation G-17 stolen from my truck while it sat in my garage yesterday. I was 30 feet away when it happen and did not see anybody. The gun is well used and worn. S/N HL xxx. I live in the Hermitage TN area and a police report has been filed. any tips, drop me a line. I hate to think that I need to close up the garage to cut the grass. Thanks Robert

They were sold new as non-toxic rounds, I really don't know why they used small primers.

The woods walk is not pistol friendly, clays at 20 yrds is a hard shot. the other stages can be shot pistol only.

Gallatin Gun Club will host a Glock GSSF Style match on 3/13. Any brand gun may shoot. 81 round min. Gallatin mumbers shoot for $10, non-members $15, 2nd guns $5. We will use IDPA scoring for this match. No holster needed, a range bag will do. All strings start from low ready. no reloads on the clock. Small sub-compact guns may shoot in bug division.

you can come, however you are restricted to 5 rounds in the magazine and only loose ammo in your pocket.

ok guys; The website is wrong, It has the 13th. It is saturday the 12th. 60 pistol, 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP and .38 special if you are brave. 25 birdshot or AA trap shotgun rounds min. bring extra. We will be using IDPA safety rules. 3 extra mags can be carried. Scoring will be using IDPA software, so use IDPA pistols rules. Gallatin gun Club Range at the TVA Gallatin Steam Plant. Right at the gate and wait at the gate to the range. Someone will let you in. Try to be at the range by 9:00 AM Stages are 1 of pistol only and 2 of pistol/shotgun. stage one is 20 rounds pistol, stage 2 is 22 pistol and 12 shotgun, stage 3 is 14 pistol and 11 shotgun.
