  1. The Cat, Thanks for the tip, I will look at Barnes and Noble. I believe that 5.56 will be the way I go for now, especially since it is so readily available. Thanks, Bob
  2. The Cat, Suggestions for anywhere locally (Nasvhille) I could pick the books up? Thanks in advance, Bob
  3. Poak, My original thoughts were to buy the first rifle complete. Then after getting used to the ins & outs of it build another one maybe in 6.8 Bob
  4. Sling, One question I did have was about 5.56 vs. 6.8 I know 5.56 will be less expensive to shoot and more commonly available, but the 6.8 will have more energy and potential knock down power (of course with proper placement) Any opinions one way or the other? Bob
  5. Greetings to all, I have an itch for an "EBR" but know little about them. I was reading a thread about building vs. buying and was trying to decide about the two options. I can not find that thread, but it had mentioned a good reference book for AR's. Which one (or two) is a good one to get? Thanks, Bob
  6. I had Sig's, both were for carry (same manual of arms) but one got more use and so the other one turned into a Springer 1911. Bob
  7. Midtennchip, Have you checked into Crossbreed holsters? I carry a Sig 220 carry in a super tuck deluxe and have no problems with it. You can tuck/blouse the shirt at the holster location and make it disappear. http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/
  8. What time on Sunday? I would also be interested in IDPA sport shooting. Bob
  9. Now that is some fine shooting!! Well done!! Bob
  10. Rabbi, I agree that the conservative republican party is now in a pickle for choosing a candidate. It is a shame that what we have left is the best there is to offer out there. Builder Bob

    the finger

I voted finger tip, but usually use the pad. Like others have said, it depends on what I am shooting!
  12. First would be a Sig 220 carry, then an AR of some mfg, not sure who yet Bob
  13. Thanks for the replies! Who knows, maybe I will have to get one of each and settle it that way. Bob
  14. Hello to all! I am new to the 1911 platform but interested in it. I have been looking for a 1911 lately and was wondering about suggestions between a commander sized 1911 and a Sig SAO 220 carry. Any suggestions on a 1911? I already have a 229, so I am familiar with the Sig line. Any thought/suggestions would be appreciated. Bob
  15. Hello from Joelton. My name is Bob, and have been enjoying your site since it was forwarded to me by one of your members (thanks John). I enjoy shooting and frequent Guns & Leather when I can. I am looking forward to getting into reloading and presently looking for a .45 to add to the collection.
