I just got back from a pheasant hunting trip in South Dakota. That looks to be a hen in 10-Ring's pic, and that definitely is a rooster in the op's pic. I also have a freezer full of those birds right now, and they are delicious. If anyone has some recipes they could point me too, I would be very appreciative. I wouldn't mind some creative ways to cook these things up.

Yep. I'm glad they stuck to their word on this one. I hope Beretta/Kahr/Remington do the same. Side note...Must be nice to live in a state that will aggressively pursue these manufacturing jobs.

In the past month he's started to post on another forum I frequent. As usual trying to agitate and stir the pot. I suppose he's not getting the attention he wants here so he has begun to look for trouble elsewhere.
There was a time in this country, not that long ago either, when someone who went this far out of their to make trouble for themselves wouldn't have lasted this long in society.

Probably not a photoshop job. Her and her husband are the two biggest proponents of the old " I support the 2A, but…." line. It's like the only credentials the left think you need to make a statement on gun control is to qualify it with that line.
I also can't stand how they think her getting shot somehow made her an expert on violence. Which makes about as much sense as saying that getting in a wreck qualifies me for the Daytona 500.

I read this yesterday as well. Aside from the cost of ammo going up, I couldn't help but wonder if one day this will bite our military by putting us at a disadvantage in production capabilities.

Chattanooga Jiu Jitsu Academy. For pure self defense it's the best in town. Today we had a 3 hour seminar with Rorion Gracie, the inventor of the UFC. Mickey is a fantastic guy, and an even better instructor. He will let you try the program out for 10 days no charge. Let me know if you have any questions.

Unless you specifically want to fight MMA, stay away from MMA schools. MMA is a sport, they train their guys to compete and win fights against opponents in the same weight class. That is all. If someone running an MMA gym tells you it is "street applicable" they are either trying to get your money, or woefully misguided.

I'm surprised it took Starbucks this long to do this. They have repeatedly asked both the OC activists and MDA to leave them out of this debate. If you want to have your political views recognized and validated, go to the ballot box, stop trying to force your beliefs on a disinterested private business. Show up at city council meetings, hell, run for office. All they wanted to do was sell people coffee. It seems to me that this was the best way for Starbucks to bow out of a fight they didn't get themselves in to begin with.

I came very, very close to buying my first one a few weeks ago. But the trigger was AWFUL. And I'm a Glock guy, I have a fairly high tolerance for bad triggers. This trigger was next level bad. I still want one, and most likely will pick one up at some point. If felt like sand was being rubbed against the trigger as you pulled it. They seem like great guns, and I really want to try one out. I just couldn't see putting down $500 right now on one with a trigger that bad.

Chattanooga is a great part of the world. It's a beautiful city, and there is no shortage of outdoor activities around here if you are into that. The city has also been relatively insulated against the recession due to VW and Amazon coming in. There's work to be found here for people that want it.
