Alright, we are officially a month out for the season. Get your predictions in now and let's see how our teams do this year.
I'm thinking my Boys from South Bend will have a 2-3 loss year. Schedule is tough and I figure a first year coach/first year QB is good for at least 1 unexpected loss.
Ultimately, sadly, I expect this season to come down to more of the same old Bama and Ga results. Who you fellas got?
As always though, IRISH vs the world!

These are absolutely a shooter's 1911. Whenever I want to grab a 1911 that just runs and makes me look like an all star I grab my Les Baer PII.

I have 2 Les Baer's and can vouch for what tremendous shooters they are. When I want to hit the range with a 1911 that is a flat out shooter I grab my PII.

Anthony's in Red bank was very reasonable last time I used them. Maybe $25?

Do you have a pic of your set up? I'd be interested in seeing it. Mine is minimal with esstac mag pouches on the weak side, an esstac tourniquet carrier in the back, and the holster on my strong side.

Love that slide. Not fully on board with red dots yet, but I'm trying to be!

This is an absolutely wonderful city. There is anything you want here as far as history, outdoor activities, and good food. I love it here. Welcome to Chattanooga. If you have any specific questions I will be glad to answer as best I can.

Could happen, but the way the season has been so far, nobody's safe.
Agreed. This season everything is up for grabs week to week and no one seems to be safe. Least of all my Irish!

My Irish are checking in at 8-1 now and likely to move up to 8th on Tuesday. Hoping for an 11-1 season with an invite to a NY6 game, but who knows. Depending on how the next few weeks go they may sneak themselves back into the playoffs!

This Four Roses 130th is my newest all time favorite bourbon. Absolutely great release.

Yeah, this created a huge mess down here yesterday. Getting through Chatt these days will be even more of a nightmare.

I have a decent sized sales territory so I've been in on podcasts for a couple years now. I love the Dan Carlin Hardcore History podcast, in particular his series on WWI.
I will also listen to Jocko Willink, Jordan Peterson (Phenomenology of the Divine Series is excellent) and Sam Harris.

@KahrMan I had the first batch and it was excellent. If it's in the ballpark of that one you'll be ok.

Some variation of the above seems to come around every year or so, it never pans out. As it is, there is no substitute for time in the barrel.

And next question where did they find it?

I like that the password is all caps to get in. Really sets the tone right out of the gate.

Another vote for Vanguard. In specific their low cost ETFs are the way to go.

I've heard nothing but great things about the land nav and ditch medicine training that the guys from ESEE knives do.

For a nice Christmas Gift, I'd consider a Wild Turkey Master's Keep 17 year or Decades. They come in a beautiful presentation box and the bottle is very well done with a flying turkey molded/etched into the glass, and it's pretty good bourbon too. They generally sell for $150, and they can actually be found on many store shelves.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkWas going to respond exactly this. Get ourself the Wild Turkey Decades, should be about $150 +/- $10. Beautiful bottle, great presentation and the bourbon is absolutely exceptional.

Almost all liquor store Private Selections are good values. In most stores that I frequent, the Private Selections are usually cheaper than the regular product, and many that are normally batched products become single barrel products by being a Private Selection. Buffalo Trace and Elijah Craig are batched products that are found as single barrel Private Selections in many stores and are usually priced between $25-$30.
Four Roses is a good value, but I actually think Knob Creek Single Barrel Private Selections are the best value in bourbon today. At 120 proof, 12 to 13 years old and priced below $40 per bottle...that's a screaming bargain in today's market.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkAgreed. When I come across a store pick of anything I normally like I will always grab a bottle or two. I've had some tremendous store pick bottles of BT, EC, and Whistlepig.
I love the KC store pick I just picked up last week, I think you may be right as far as it being the best deal in bourbon right now but I'll have to try a few more pours to confirm!

I've got bottles from 5 or 6 different 4 Roses PS single barrels (4 of the 10 recipes) and two bottles currently open. I've tasted all of them (some before purchase) and have emptied a few bottles. Fortunately, I have backups of several of the ones I've emptied. I don't think I've ever had a bad 4 Roses Single Barrel Private Selection, just some were maybe a little better than others. I highly recommend them if you see them in your local liquor stores.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkAgreed, worth every penny and one of the last real values you can find in bourbon right now.

Well, here is to a week full of me finding ways to rationalize how my Irish can find a way to win in Columbus this week!
How about Vandy though?
