  1. I think I'd pick my own and save $6.00. Thats just me though. How about opening a Knox branch of Hero Gear?
  2. SO, will you be stewin up a fine pot of stew? frying them up, roasten them? Your probably going to need more than three to feed us all though. Invite me to the cookout and I can bring along a really nice groundhog souffle.
  3. I have started carrying a P-9 in my pocket and it really isn't noticable. Haven't gotten around to buying one of those nifty pocket holsters yet. I was pocket carrying an S&W model 60, also easy to conceal, just a bit to heavy.
  4. Save up a little extra cash and go to a "real" class. That extra $30-$40 bucks you cough up now, could save you massive amounts of money, legal problems, or even a life in the future.
  5. Yeah, but were there any good deals on Beanie Babies or Beef Jerky?
  6. If your .22 is a revolver, you could try loading a blank or two and see if the noise would stop them. If it doesn't maybe some .22 ratshot as the next round?
  7. I did the same deal. Had a Florida permit, but had to do the whole deal again here. You're right, that is one sad mandatory movie! Worst part of whole ordeal was sitting at the D.L. Office for a little over 2 hours waiting to pay and get my mugshot done.
  8. Sevier Indoor Range has a monthly class. Check their website, or give them a call as it usually fills up about a month in advance. It,s about 30-45 minutes from Jefferson city.
  9. Never carry at home. Guns are reachable but not in hand. I may be accused of having my head in the sand, but no rifles strapped to my back or pistols down my underwear.
  10. Yep, thats why it's still such a great place to visit!

    star pd 45

Just for giggles, What was the asking price on the PD? If you don't mind.
  12. I traded my Glock 22 and a little cash for an XD 45 service and have never been sorry. It holds lots, doesn't jam, and puts the bullets where I want them. Gotta love it.

    single stack 9mms

I see Para has just come out with a new single stack/compact 9mm. I am sure it will be expensive though. Might be worth looking in to.
  14. Generally, I try to get all the mileage I can out of my targets. We have to buy ranges targets, no problem there. After I shoot out the center, I'll shoot out the head, then the arms, etc. I have noticed that a lot of the ladies at the range tend to do the old tallywhacker grouping!
  15. Another vote for the 870. They are about indestructible. Barreles and aftermarket parts are easily available for them. If your going to blast skeet you will probably want a 28" or 30" barrel. I think I would go with the ever popular 20" barrel.
  16. I moved recently from FL. (Yeah, yeah I know!) In Florida, the boyfriend ,or whatever he was, could also be charged with murder for committing a crime that results in a death. Do similar exist here?
  17. Thanks for that link canyn. You should read some of the assanine comments that are posted after the report! This really hurts all responsible gunowners.
  18. I was listening to local Knox Fm station WIVK on the way home from work tonight. They were following a breaking story somewhere in the local vicinity. Seems a guy called the sheriff dept and reported someone had just stolen a radiator from his yard. A few minutes later a walkin clinic in the area called and reported they had two gunshot victims. The person who called in the theft was arrested for 2nd degree murder x 2. Apparently he confessed to taking a shot at the car as it left. His shot hit a woman in the car who was 8 months pregnant. Killed her and her unborn child. There was also a 17 month old in the car who was not hurt. What the Hell was everybody thinking???????
  19. Well, just got back from the Hot Dog Detail. The only FN at Bass Pro today was an FNP? in 9mm. Couldn't grab a clerk to ask about the other one, they were all to busy trying to be knowledgable and all knowing authorities on guns! School trap teams what a concept. Even the mere mention of a gun in a Florida school could get you expelled. How cool would it have been to be in 5th grade and getting to shoot clays in sanctioned events? This is our first year with the team, apparently they are very highly placed in state rankings.
  20. Sevier Indoor range does a match about once a month. Call them and they will put you on their email list for upcoming matchs and events.
  21. I have seen them on a couple occasions at Bass Pro. If I remember right they were in the $1000 range. I will look today when I go. I have to take the son over today to pass out free hotdogs at the boat show. They get donations to support schools Trapshooting Team.

    New addition

Glad I am not the only one who doesn't have time to play with my toys. I have two pistols I bought a month ago and still haven't shot them.
  23. Sevier Indoor Range. Limited on gun selection but real nice folks that don't try to dazzle you with their brillance. Also J Floyds Golf & Guns. Strange combo but it works.
  24. So far I have purchased 2 ar lowers and a P3At this year. Next will be a bunch of bullets 12 gauge of some type, and a larger caliber rifle of some type. Oh yeah and a whole bunch more ar pieces.
  25. Just watching coverage from last nights storms. Hope all of you made it through safe and sound.
