    XD mag kits

Mine came from H&H Firearms Jeff City 865-475-2049. I don't know if he has them for 9mm. If he does I drive to Knox for work daily and could meet you. Good Luck
  3. I love buying my own presents. Saturday while retaking my CCW (another thread) I ended up coming home with a really nice blue 3" model 36 to go with my model 60. Paid what it was marked, no real great deal but is in excellent condition.
  4. After a few months trying to figure out how to convert my Fl permit to Tn permit, it was concluded that I had to retake the class. Tn doesnot recognize Fl because of a lack of safety portion in the Fl class. I retook the class Saturday at Sevierville Indoor Range. Very well done, but really hard metal chairs and one stupid required movie. Cost was $65 but, that inlcudes 30 days unlimited indoor range time. They hold classes monthly if anyone in the area is interested. Very clean facility and real nice people to do business with.

    XD mag kits

Bought a kit for 45 cal (full size) yesterday for $41.95 in Jeff City. Had to pay tax' but no shipping' so probably about the same price as cheaper mailorders. Shop has more if anybody is interested.
  6. I am cleaning out the garage and have come across a few hundred 6mm/244 cartridges and cases. Some cases only, some reloads, I would pull the bullets on the reloads as they have been stored for ten years or so. Some brass is decent some corroded so will defintely need tumbling. I sold all my loading equip before we moved and don't have time to mess with them for a while. First I'll take them can have them. I can meet you in Knoxville area or shipped on your dime.

    IAI 380

I had two AMT Backups in 380 when they first came out. Late 70's early 80's if I remember correctly. I had very poor luck with both of them. Neat idea and size, but both were to unreliable to keep. I even sent them back to AMT for sevice, but they came back just as bad. Sounds like you got a good price and hopefully my experience was isolated and not the norm.
  8. Never shot competition before, but I am up for the east side. Especially if I can justify buying a new gun for it!
  9. Welcome from another Jeff City member.

    Mueller Scopes ???

Does anyone handle them locally, or are they mail order? I have read about them but haven,t played with any yet. This is also fpr my 10/22 build.
  11. Thanks for the info guys. I have been lirking on Rimfire Central. I have picked up some useful info. Unfortunately a lot of it is still over my head. I need to pick up a book or two on DIY mods for the 10/22 befor I start tearing stuff apart.
  12. Does anyone know of a shop in the Knox area that carries 10/22 parts? I have one and want to build it up, heavy barrel, new stock, etc. Most places tell me they can order for me, but I like to touch stuff before I order. (This has gotten me slapped more than once!). Heck I bet I could even order by myself if I try real hard.
  13. Not me. I just shoot until I get tired or run out of ammo. I have started taking fewer guns to the range in order to reduce cleaning chores. Got to stay after the lazy factor, you know.
  14. I need some info on obtaining a TN carry permit. So far I have gotten several different responses to my question. I recently relocated to Knox area from Fl. I have a current Florida CCW permit. Now that I am a Tn resident I want to get a Tn permit. So far I have been told everything from, "You don't need a Tn permit just keep using your Fl permit until it expires" to " You have to take the entire class over and submit everything" to "I don't think you need to take the class and fingerprints just pay the fees and submit paperwork." I am starting to get tired of running from Motor vehicle people, to courthouse, to sheriff dept., to gunshop trying to find the real answer. Anybody having experience trying to convert a license from another state with info is welcome to chime in. As near as I can tell, all that I need is to do the safety portion and pay the $50 renewal fee. I think?
  15. I doubt your going to find a legal one. Maybe from a class three dealer? If you do BATF is probably really going to be interested.
  16. Recently moved into state from Florida. What a nice change to be around normal folks again. Glad I finally stumbled on this forum, I need lots of info on shops and ranges near the Knoxville/Jeff City area.
