  1. I shot Contenders and Encores for years. There were no 30-06 factory Contender barrels built to my knowledge. Too much pressure. Try to fit it in the frame. Bet you a dollar it won’t fit.
  2. Are sure it’s a 30-06 for a Contender? I bet it’s an Encore barrel.
  3. Everything I love is in Memphis! Someone neeeeeeeds to buy this!
  4. For a collector the old models are worth something, but I prefer the new model with a transfer bar. Safer to carry fully loaded.
  5. It does. You have two varieties. Ruger Single Six and Ruger New Single Six. Single six has screws on the side and may or may not have transfer bar. New Single Six has pins and transfer bar. I bet this says ‘New Model Single Six’ on the side.
  6. Glws. If you were near Chattanooga I would have this.
  7. Normal mags. The barrel is just a little shorter. See here. This would be a commander size the officer size takes shorty mags.
  8. Thank you! I'm getting out of AR's. Never shoot them.
  9. I assembled this myself from parts. Ready to slap a yote or poke holes in paper. Ballistic Advantage 18" SPR Barrel Midwest Industries mlok handgaurd muzzle break Magpul Bipod 20MOA 30mm Scope Mount Rifle length Magpul MOE buttstock Magpul Grip Rise Armaments Trigger Upper and lower both are Anderson. 1x 20 round Magpul mag. Scope is not included. 423-240-zerothree4seven $600
  10. I had one of these in 243 back in my IHMSA days and it was a blast!
  11. I bought this new in June and have put 100 or so rounds through it. I never shot it for accuracy, just plinking at steel out to 1000yds and doing velocity tests. Extended rail and gas system, 24" Wilson barrel, RRA upper and bolt carrier, with original box. It's LONG and looks cool. It runs the Federal 90gr fusions out at 2,581 fps. Federal advertises 2700 fps, but that's hype. If you check all of the major reloading manuals you'll see that 2,581 fps is pretty standard. The advantage over 223/556 is it will load 90gr bullets into the magazine instead of single shot. $400 Or add 77rds of Federal Fusion 90gr, 100 pcs once fired brass, 49 pcs of new brass, new RCBS SB dies, and two metal magazines for 224 Valkyrie. $500 only trade interests are other AR uppers or AR stuff.
  12. I’m glad you mentioned that cause I googled the distance to Morristown last night.
