Ok, wise sages. Besides a cheap .22, is there a less expensive or better valued gun to get into than mosin as a first long gun? What would you use it for? Hunting? Plinking only? Varmint shooting? Deer hunting? Etc? TIA

Just for all to think about, the safety is mostly for making it Cali legal. And they are most likely only offering it that way because it is cheaper to make and sell one type of something.

Btw, it was a gen4 g19. I like that model. No matter the haters. Because of my small hands.

I would seriously look at the sig 938 when it reaches stores, it looks like it will be an "affordable" 9mm 1911 option. After getting used to firing .45's in a officers size1911, the g19 was like shooting a.22. I prefer the sa format, but if money wasn't tight I would have a g19 in the safe as well. But I think I will be saving up for the 938.

I believe rami's are convertible between sa and decoker.... Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

I would like to have a matching pair. Though I have to agree with 238 being pricey. But they are still getting $ from us suckers, ahem, excuse me "gun enthusiast". if I had the cash the one in the classifieds would be in pocket by weeks end. Like tnwgnr, I started out SA and it is my preferred method of carry. Harder to disengage a safety than a long trigger pull.

So double that? Still that would be awesome!
