  1. I could be wrong...but off hand I don't know of any state that you can simply take a permit from one state and get a permit from another state. Not exactly the same thing as DLs unfortunately.
  2. You really want to hear something ignorant...listen to some of the things a deffense attorney says in this video.... "Give a warning"...are you serious?! DEBATE: Teenage Mom Shoots, Kills Intruder to Protect Baby; Prosecution Charges Intruder's Accomplice With Murder - Fox News Video - FoxNews.com
  3. I like it... The moderation tools look good too...
  4. Well "reciprocity" seems to mean different things to different people. I think even with the states that TN does have formal written reciprocity agreements, residents from those state with a valid permit who become Tennessee residents can't simply get a TN HCP without at least filling out the application and paying the renewal fee.
  5. One difference is there was a judicial process (Although maybe just for show) before a place was deemed as a public nuisance and the owner of the place had a chance to argue against it. Unlike sitting in a bar, minding your own business consuming an adult beverage responsibly just because others may possibly violate the law in the future. I am not trying to pick a fight either. But yes...it would appear we simply have a different level of how serious a violation of someone's rights are. Even if I didn't take it as serious...not sure I could ever find it funny or "ok"... I totally agree there are incidents of one's rights being violated everyday...that is why any such occurrence, no matter how "minor", to me is not a laughing matter. The shame is, it is almost becoming accepted by many. First I think there are many laws that violate the constitution, either they just haven't been challenged or some judge has drank from the same kool-aid as many others that it is simply "ok". ...and yes I do think all intrusions are equally serious in so far as they are allowed to occur. Do all have the same effect on the victim..perhaps not, but they all have an equal effect on all of us that they are tolerated. If "this" is ok today...well then "that" will be ok tomorrow.
  6. Well anytime someone says it's ok for rights to be violated just because of possible perceived good results...it's hard not to take it a bit serious...
  7. What really scares me leroy is...I think you're serious
  8. Won't argue with that. I firmly believe if your actions affect another you should be held responsible.
  9. If it is bringing in that much tax.....sounds pretty regulated to me.....
  10. Drinking make me happy....seems I've read somewhere about the right to pursue happiness... Now I'm not saying people should drive drunk etc....
  11. Play stupid games...win stupid prizes....
  12. I use iespell as an add on the internet explorer...I'm not having anytrouble. If that is what you are using you may want to uninstall it then reinstall it. As OS said there is no spell check built in to TGO. If you click the spell check button, it just tries to install ieSpell....
  13. Red Solo Cup, I fill you up...
  14. Yep. NRA-ILA tweet is how I heard about it.
  15. Several threads merged. If you see anymore please report them.
  16. My personal belief is that anyone 18 years of age that hasn't had their rights removed or restricted by a court should be able to carry a firearm anywhere in the country. That said, as the laws are now, I think any responsiable gun owner should know the laws of their state and any state they travel to. There are several resources for this information. 17. In your profile it still shows a "raiting" of 9, the 10 is under total positive feedback. Of course you probably saw all that.... Maybe somone more familart with how the iTrader system works can explain more....
  18. So wait....he wasn't worried about disarming you until you made an issue of it? Then he had trouble removing it from your holster.... not sure about his peace of mind, but mine would have been a lot better had he just left it in my holster. Glad you didn't get shot in the leg....
  19. Many state parks still have no firearms signs.....they do not apply to HCP holders. They law kept them from being removed for money reasons that may have killed the bill otherwise. I'm still not 100% sure about those signs at TVA property myself. That same sign is at the entrance to Beech Lake in Lexington. There is a TVA Dam there, but the only LE I've seen there is Lexington PD.
  20. She is my Rep as well....used to really like her. But between this and her being in favor of SOPA.....well....
  21. I'm afraid we will always have a mandatory helemt law here as long as there is TennCare and Vanderbilt. But our group was able to accomplish several other things. As you said it was well organized we even had a lobbyist that did quite a bit of groundwork on the front end. Of course one problem is...you can wear leather into the capital, but not carry a firearm... ...and I do agree a lot of the effectiveness would depened on who was there and how it was covered in the media. One idea may be to talk with a pro-gun legislator and ask him for suggestions on how to do it....
  22. Yes...stupid law, but stupid for ALL, not just the superintendent.
  23. I agree with you last statement. But on the first...not sure it is "settled" Both of those cases only dealt with "keep" and not "bearing", right? Now if a case about bearing comes up...then it would be settled....
