I think you are talking about the bill that address carry in Local Parks. HB0716 is about State Parks and would allow carry in any and all state parks in the state regardless of where they are.

Finally watched An American Carol the other day. At the end Trace Adkins sings a song as it rolls into the credits and then someother group has a song after that. Can anyone tell me the names of those songs? They are not listed on Soundtrack page on IMDB. Thanks

I really hate to hear about this. I have been the victim of theft, not to this extent, but more than once (one reason I have moved). I think I have at least a hint of how you feel..... One thing I would add to your list is cameras if you can get them.

Can't remember at the moment when it is to be head in the Senate, but right now the bill in the Senate has been changed from the House version. So it if passes like that the difference are going to have to be worked out. But no matter what happens, the earliest it would go into effect is July 1st.

I think you handled it well and have a great attitude. In all honesty...not sure if I would follow through with anything either. Most LEOs I know are very professional. Last trooper that gave me a ticket (over 15+ years ago) was so professional, Hell I thanked him and thought about offering to buy him lunch. I understand that this is not the "norm" and 99.9% of the time if a HCP holder notifies right away all that is said by the LEO is "ok" or "where is it? - don't touch it." Also I agree it is better not to let them "find" it. If I thought I was about to be searched for whatever reason or I was carrying in a way that it might become exposed during the course of business with the LEO I would inform. My only real point is...situations like this is why some choose to not inform right away.

Yes...it sure sounds like IzzyIsaac had a pleasant experience. Where as had he not informed and as long as the weapon stayed concealed, it may have never came up. Also if I am shot by a LEO for legally carrying when the weapon is still inside my pocket, in the holster on my hip or otherwise not being handled by me then I believe that to be the actions of an idiot.

You do in AR and I think SC and maybe some other states, but not in TN.

Hmmmm, Handcuffed, disarmed, weapon passed around, ammo dropped....and some wonder why some of us don't want to notify......

A lot of it may even depend on the officer. Most may say the ammo in the glove box would be ok. But to me under the rear seat would show an intent to keep it out of reach. Hopefully the bill will pass to allow HCP holders to have loaded long guns in their vehicles.

Depending on what city/county court the warrant, if issued, was issued from...it may not even show up in any database the TBI or FBI will check. Only if it is entered into NCIC would they be able to see it. Of course one copy of your application is also sent to the sheriff of your county of residence. But as we've said this is not a disqualifier. But as to how long it would take to be cleared...I'm not sure...I would ask them Thursday. If the warrant was not entered into any state or federal database there is actually nothing on that level that even needs to be cleared.

Well one thing to probably do is to call the court and see if you have a warrant. But long story short....none of this should keep you from getting your permit. However the certificate from the class is good for 6 months. So it might be worth the wait, unless you are in a great rush, to make sure all of this is cleared up before actually applying for your HCP.
