  1. LOL My point though was not about calling 9-1-1 in relation to a threat, but that different people can see the exact same situation differently.
  2. You have no legal duty to act, so not sure what grounds they would have to sue you on.
  3. The trouble is what you think puts you in fear of your life may or may not put someone else in the same fear...or even worse a jury may not see it as a reasonable fear. When I used to dispatch 9-1-1 I got many calls that weren't true emergencies and no one with any common sense would think was an emergency, but many of the people that made those calls thought it was an emergency...at least to them.
  4. Grimel is right...there really is no Permit to carry a baton. Simply a defense in the law that says if you have had the proper training you can carry one.
  5. Happens to me on occasion (I'm on Charter cable). Not really often enough to complain, but not unnoticed either.
  6. LOL...funny

  18. Way back when you were considered black if your blood was only 1/6 or 1/8 black (Can't remember the exact fraction). But basically even you didn't appear darker skinned you were still considered of Negro heritage. We have come a little ways from that point in that we don't go strictly by heritage, but we still pretty much go by appearance. So while Obama may not be as dark as Wesley Snipes, he is dark enough, with enough heritage for many to call him Black. And in the PC world, Negro/Black = African-American. Whether any of this is right or wrong or even the right attitude to have was not my intent to prove or disprove, simply my opinion/answer to the original question.
  19. It won't be just the PA either. There has pretty much always been a double standard when it comes to the media.

  21. Awwwww....C'mon Punisher, What do you really think?
  22. Well said. Regardless of who is out-going and who is in-coming, the inauguration itself of a new President, is powerful to watch.
