  1. I haven't shot a coyote in middle TN yet. But I've been slacking!
  2. So does not shooting them! Who the hell is going to smuggle wild hogs? There's no money in it.
  3. you know those cylindrical containers people put by the front door in their hallways for umbrellas? i have a pretty nice one that my wife got at random retail that makes women happy stores that matches everything. it took me 2 years to talk her into letting me keep 2 machetes, a tomahawk, a couple of homemade bamboo f.u. sticks and a really bitchin dead on tools hammer in it for the inevitable zombie apocalypse. marriage is about compromises. i'm ok with that because i got a good one. we've both agreed if the other turns into a zombie to do what has to be done (headshot) then proceed with killing every zombie we see.
  4. the MUT is badass for sure, but if you're getting a gun specific multi tool, the multitasker is gaining a lot of popularity from guys who use their guns a lot more than i use mine. i've been telling my wife i want the multitakser for Christmas this year. if anyone has one they'd like to critique, i'm all ears. when i get mine, i'll give you my review.
  5. greetings and welcome! there's a few ranges relatively close to manchester in murfreesboro and the hobson pke wma in antioch/priest lake area isn't bad for $5.
  6. Hey all. The cast of walking dead is going to be at the comic/horror convention at the TN st fairgrounds! It's open til 1900 hours today and I think 1600 on sunday. I don't know how much it is to get in, yet. If you need info for it or other current events at the fairgrounds you can call 615-862-8980 option 1 and it will give you their info number and website. I'm at work til 3pm but going to see if the mrs can get off work early so we can get out there for a couple hours.
  7. any of y'all train dogs at the percy priest wma?
  8. thank you all for the info. i just saw that they prohibit wild boar hunting on twra's website. i guess the only execption for me is to find a land owner who has the "removal permit" for their land or to hit up a hunting lodge, which i assume have the same allowances from the state.
  9. That's sexy! I initially wanted to mock up this p6 to match the current sig combat fde one, but not sure how well the fde would hold up over the crusty plastic original grips. Last I heard, I'm doing another snake skin looking camo on this one. Work has been getting in the way of the important stuff all month, but it'll be done soon!
  10. I don't have an opinion on the rifle. To me an AK is an AK, but you better keep the Mrs happy. She sounds like a good one! :-D
  11. What do you recommend for deer and turkey guys who want to hunt pigs for the first time? A buddy from work and I grew up hunting and fishing around here, but put it off for a few years due to kids and work stuff but want to get out and get a couple. I keep a deer kit and a turkey kit at the ready. Seriously, I keep 2 blacked out rubbermaid bins in the guest bath tub, my wife HATES it, but I can pretty much grab a gun and a box to go get food. But, I don't have a pig kit because I've never been. I've seen a few ferals while hunting other stuff, but never took one. I will eat, wear and use anything I kill, but the mrs won't have anything to do with pigs. Which is also why I haven't been. As always , when I ask for info, any and all is greatly appreciated.
  12. I don't shoot the ones with white spots. Say it's muzzy season and I see 2 does and a juvy buck. I'll let him walk and take a doe. I'm there for meat and giving him a chance to get bigger and smarter for gun season, and if he's all I see , I'll eat him too!
  13. When did it become legal to gun hunt with smaller than a .24? I personally wouldn't use a .223 on a deer because I have a 12 gauge and a .308
