I've owned and operated Bersa Thunders off and on for 15 years or so. They're an unsung bargain of the small pistol market IMHO. The .22 LR version is picky on ammo, but the .380 eats pretty much everything after a brief run-in. It's my usual carry when I'm out and about.

I know who I am, but it's for the benefit of curious authoritative persons to know who I am, too. So, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. If it distinguishes me from people who shouldn't be here, it'll come in handy.

The mountains and the plateau offer us in the East some protection, but it puts us in a big wind tunnel when spring weather kicks up. I was raised in Oklahoma, so I got my share of tornado scares and living on the Texas Gulf Coast for many years made me no stranger to hurricane warnings. Fortunately, my family was spared from them all. I don't know where you can put down roots in the good ol' USA and not face the likelihood of something pulling them up. You certainly have my prayers that God will make these devastating storms pass over you and yours.
