Taurus contacted me today and advised that I just go onto their online candy store and pick my treat. They'll send it to my FFL when the money comes in. That's the way it oughta be--let's see if it goes a smoothly as they describe.

It's settled then. Taurus said I had to order from their webstore, but all I see are three vendors--Gun Broker, Gallery of Guns and Guns.com. I thought Taurus would just ship me one plus any boot since I'm going over the credit limit or send it to my FFL for a background check. Anybody know how this works?

I sent my 738 TCP back to Taurus for a minor problem and they say it's unrepairable. So that there's no hard feelings, they're giving me a credit on their webstore for about $100 more than I paid for it years ago. My question for the group: How do you guys like the TX22?

As the old saying goes, "Show pictures or it didn't happen." You sure made yourself believable, @Defender I've got a plate and some screws in my right ankle from an old tib-fracture, but that's penny-ante compared to your hardware. I pray that God gets you back on your feet in record time.

Greetings, 17doc17! Never been through your town, but I will if I ever need a bell buckled.

It had to happen, just after I sold my .40 cal bullets and brass. Wake me when the cops start turning in their .38 Specials.

I'm with you. Collectors will miss the joy they can have in firing the guns before the terrible boating accident.

It's somewhat romantic to think that you've acquired a virgin and desire to keep its honor intact but remember that the manufacturer's QC department busted the gun's cherry before it left the factory. It may even give proof of it in a small envelope packaged with all the paper, locks and whatnots. I collect shooters that I hope will do their job if I do mine. However, I respect a man's hopeful investment and do not judge him if he eventually trades his pristine prize away to other lustful cads such as myself.

Believe it or not, even the DOJ argued against gun ownership for "newcomers," but a fed judge shot them down. No word yet if they'll start giving them firearms as they cross the border. Gun Ban for Non-Violent Illegal Immigrant Found Unconstitutional | The Reload

Glad to meet a new neighbor--just six inches away on the map!

Here's our "handy stockpile" for the future. The wife remembers the pandemic shortages. I have about 400 bullets for reloading.

Who here might be headed to this Lake of Fire? I might be one.

The president of an HMO died and came before St. Peter at Heaven's pearly gates. Peter said, "Well, guess what? Your name is written here in the book! "Wonderful," the insurance exec said. "So I'm in?" Peter smiled and answered, "Yes...but you can only stay for three days." -
CNN Sunday night March 3rd, "The Whole Story"
gun sane replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
What started as an account of a tranny monster shooting up a school quickly turned into accusations of white supremacy, unfair gerrymandering and a host of other insidious conservative overreaches. The big question they didn't answer is how they lost a decades-long Democrat majority after Obama became president. Maybe because of far-left extremism? Kudos to @Worriedman for delivering the knockout blow of the night--if we lose the 2A, what other constitutional right goes next? -
Danger of Mixing Science and Politics
gun sane replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Two reasons for my comment: 1. "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." (Psalm 14:1). Sagan was an admitted agnostic. Just as a broken clock is right twice a day, he makes here unusually bright statements. 2. "...For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God." (Romans 13:1). Politicians have either supported or thwarted religious practices from the beginning of history. They are accountable for their leadership, good or bad, before the One who sets them in positions of power, just as we who pay their salaries judge them at election time. The difference is that God's ultimate vote counts for eternity. -
Not bad thinking for an agnostic...

Lib SCOTUS Justices Clueless About Bump Stocks
gun sane replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've always believed that an automatic rifle was more about the internals than externals. I don't own a bump stock--nor ever will--but I'll support those who see them as an edge in a firefight.
