This Outdoorsman is a S&W 5-screw, "pre-Model 23" made in 1955 with matching serial numbers. It has an exceptional finish with slight wear. The only rust I found is a small spot on the butt near the serial number. The N-frame is, of course, capable of handling higher than standard pressure .38 Special rounds.
