  1. Years ago Shooting USA did an episode on .22 production.I think it was Federal, anyway the area where the priming compound was applied was much larger than shown here. Also the floor was rubber and submerged under 2-3 inches of water to eliminate static shock.

  2.  I like 1911s and Glocks because they have a short trigger reset. For that reason I don't like XDs and the Browning Hi-Power.I hate DA auto pistols,I prefer the same trigger pull for each shot.I like S&W revolvers and the old Ruger Six series DA revolvers.I like SA revolvers of all makes.

  3. I"ve used Win,Fed,CCI and Rem all with equal amounts of success. The only time I ever had a light strike issue it was due to primers being seated too high and that was in a Glock 21.Those same rds fired just fine in a 1911.If I had to pick a favorite it would be Remington due to the smaller packaging.

  4. The original Vaquero is good to go with Ruger only loads. The New Vaquero (thats the actual model name) has the smaller frame and is not suited for the stiff loads it was made to appease the CAS shooters who wanted a grip that felt like a Colt.Irregardless of the fact that there are a number of Colt copies on the market.

  5. ......and in 6 mo everybody will be chomping at the bit ready for the new season to start and find out who it was.The audio of the ending was leaked a few days ago I was hoping that was just a hoax but it was it word for word.

  6. Andrew Lincoln said he barely slept the night before filming the scene after he read the script. The article mentions a hard left turn in the story arc.... I'm thinking it will be Carl.Glenn is too obvious a choice.

  7. And in a gun related theme Dwight had his index finger on the trigger when his group captured Glenn and did you see the barbed wire bat carved into the grip of the Springfield TRP that Carl picked up ?
  8. I like it. As I age my sight is getting worse and I can an see ( pun intended ) a setup like this. In the meantime I will stick to the wider rear sights offered by 10-8 and Novak
  9. I have a pretty nice museum of mounts going on in my cabinet, all of which are the see-thru variety, all of which were taken off of Tennessee three hundred dollar bills (336 30-30s)
I detest the things passionately. Crap-to-no-cheek weld, wobbly zeroes, at least one screw is ALWAYS cross-threaded/stripped & they look like a broken tooth in a super model's head. Add a padded, tooled leather sling (4"wide) & you've got disgusting in a nutshell.

I feel the same way when I see a 1911 with rubber finger groove grips.
