  1. I’ve taken the full length guide rod out of each 1911 I’ve owned that had one.Its a lot easier to take down for cleaning. You would only need a tool if you had bushing fitted to the slide/barrel,you would need a bushing wrench.I have a Springfield that has a Kart barrel and bushing that’s a little snug.

When I worked at Range USA in Memphis I was their Armorer-

And can say first hand that they never sold any of their rentals-

We kept them until they quite literally were worn out-

I can attest to what firearms at that time held up and which didn't-

Most of the handguns and rifles had 1000's of rounds expended with out much down time-

I can also lay to rest the idea that AR15's are not reliable-

We also had a Taurus G2 that had never but once broke-extractor issue-1000's of rounds later-

We had a Bersa Thunder 9 that couldn't be killed-

So until a person actually works in the industry and see's first hand what works and doesn't-it's false to make claims of brands that are No Good-

I would imagine that the reason most Range's don't sell their old stock would be to take responsibility for a wore out gun that could become a liability-

I remember reading in the mid 90s or so about a range that had a Star 30M that had over 30K rds and was still going strong.I owned one,it was built like a tank.

  3. Glock 43x every day for the last 2 years. It’s surprisingly accurate for a compact gun. When I go to the range the first drill I do cold is the Jack Wilson, from concealment draw and fire one rd to the head from 15 yds. I nail it every time.

Hang around with any of the 30-and-under crowd, and you can add "nobody much wears them anymore" ...

Oh they wear them but it’s the smart watches 😂

  5. I thought I heard he had died years ago, guess not.He lived in North Ga for a while and made the gun show circuit selling his books.I saw him at one in Fort Oglethorpe. He had some odd religious beliefs but didn’t deserve what transpired at Ruby Ridge.

I have been on that list for the Vickers since the beginning of 21 when they released it and none have come in.

I’m no.4 on that list.I highly doubt it ever gets called

  7. Started carrying legally in 97 with a Glock 23,after that a Beretta 32 Tomcat,S&W 642,Glock 21,Glock 30s,June of 2020 I went to GT Distributors and got a Glock 43x through the Blue Label program. It will take a pretty amazing gun to get me to switch from that.

  8. There is one at GT Distributors which is their display and they will not sell. They also have a Vickers Master Class they won’t sell either.Back to the SA35,I fondled it and my take is the grips are nice, the matte finish looks like it will wear quickly which is great for those that like the “battle worn” look, the sights are good and the thumb safety moves much too easily,no snap or detent to it.My take is it’s an enhanced BHP clone,if that’s your thing it will give you a rise.

  9. Quite update.I ordered a 3.5lb connector for my 43x from 10-8 Performance,as far as I know Hilton the owner is the only vendor selling one. I just installed it 15 minutes ago and it is a noticeable improvement. It lightens the pull about a pound but the big difference is the wall before the break is not as stiff .Big improvement in the trigger for less than $30 shipped.

  10. I have carried a 43x for the last 22 months.Light, compact, accurate yet the grip is long enough that your pinky finger isn’t hanging off with the mag removed.I have Ameriglo Hackathorn ( tritium/fiber optic front, plain rear) sights on it and they work really well.
