  1. Doesn’t look like any trigger I’ve seen. My guess is that’s a fan speed control for an older car. Possibly an MGA? Their electronics was known as “The Prince of Darkness. “

  2. Love it. They also made one as a lever action. Model 88. I have an old friend that has killed a truck load of deer with it. His only concern is it needs to stay super clean. Like my PawPaw said, A man that won’t clean his gun, won’t wipe is behind.

  3. Stay as far away from Memphis as possible. I’ve been here all my life and it blows. I use to spend a lot of time in your neck of the woods working for FedEx. Spent lots of time on fire island, Oak Beach and the Oak Beach Inn. Use to be a restaurant at Sunrise (27) and the Robert Moses called Frankie BZs in west Islip and Frankie’s Fireside grill in Amityville, I think.   Great sirloin steaks and ribs. Tuesdays and Thursdays were always fun at Nathan’s.

    Anyway, Welcome Back.

  4. I’m no 1911 expert but the NM in the serial number may stand for National Match. In that case it wouldn’t be a standard mil-spec. I’m sure someone will jump in on this.

  5. My son and brother both live in Anchorage. They say almost everyone there Carries a 10mm high capacity Glock. I carry a .22 and make sure I’m not alone. Any trouble pops up I simply shoot who I’m with in the leg and walk away slowly.

  6. I’ve been shooting the same Sig P220 for over 30 years. When crimson trace came out with a grip I put one on. I fine tuned on it for a while. To this day, if you can steady the pistol, the 45 bullet will absolutely punch out the red dot. Do they work, yes. I can shoot mine without really sighting it. Just point the laser and squeeze the trigger.

  7. My younger sister called me Fred Sanford because I was always trading something, guns, boats, cars, etc. She took Fred and spelled it backwards to call me Derf instead. She has called me this for 30+ years now.

  8. I’ve had the opportunity to catch, clean and smoke all on the same day. My son and brother live in anchorage and the silver run in mid July has to be seen to believe. I love salmon and think over cooking would be one of the few ways that I wouldn’t eat it.  Costco is good but fresh caught is awesome. I’ll try your marinade next time.

I think with a good rub and a long smoking would make a shoe edible.
