    only one regret

I know i've sold alot of guns I wish I had back.
  4. I picked up a fully loaded Mathews FX for 150 awhile back from a buddy of mine, can't wait to kill a deer with it. Before that I used a Darton for many years, killed alot of animals with that bow. Hopefully I will have good luck with my new Mathews FX well new for me.
  5. Nice gun, but I agree on the above.
  6. Not everyone is going to have problems, I like some things better with Vista than XP and vis versa. Vista just has to many compatibility issues for me. Windows XP was released in 2001 and is still used today and Vista was released worldwide in 2006/7 and now a new operating system to replace it?
  7. Well I have had bad luck and some other people I know have had the same luck. Never had any problems with XP. I think it sucks., but thats my opinion. Windows 7 is not that far from coming out year and a half or so. I will say this they have fixed alot of issues with Vista, but I think XP is the better choice.

    Question on a 12g

You can shoot slugs. The lead bullet shouldn't hurt your barrel, been shooting slugs out my fixed full choke barrel for years and it shoots just fine.
  13. I heard that they were going to stop making windows vista because of the problems it causes. I have it, at first it was good then it seems to just suck now, wish I had windows XP on my laptop. Windows 7 is going to replace Vista (because it sucks in my opinion). To many problems and compatibility issues. Hope you have better luck than I do.
  14. you will get better patterns with a full choke as it keeps it tight as it comes out of the barrel.
  15. Would have been better if the bird would have taken a dump in slow mo.
  16. Chilli
  17. That wasn't good!
  18. Ha ha ha, that was great. I always tried to kill that damn dog!!!
  19. Your choke is fine for buckshot. Buckshot is lead and it will deform going down the barrel and out of the choke. Steel shot will not and over time will wear your fixed choke out. As long as it is lead you should be fine.

    Question on a 12g

I looked it up and came up with this "Damascus or “Damascus twist” barrels are older shotgun barrels that typically were made before 1900. Iron and steel ribbons were twisted and welded together. Damascus barrels are weaker than modern barrels and are not designed for the high gas pressures created by modern ammunition. Damascus barrels have a distinctive, irregular pattern of short, streak-like marks around the barrel. If you have a Damascus barrel gun, don’t shoot it. The barrel may burst slightly ahead of the chamber, crippling the shooter’s hand or forearm. If you have an older firearm and are not sure if it has a Damascus barrel, go to a qualified gunsmith to identify its make before shooting it."
  21. I would shoot buck shot for home defense.

    Question on a 12g

You can use pretty much any shot through it as long as it isn't higher than a 3 inch shell. 2 3/4 is fine. I would not use steel shot as with any fixed choke it can wear it out, thats why they have different chokes for different shots. Lead shot will be perferct. As for slugs if the barrel is rifled then yes you can shoot rifled slugs, if it is smooth bore then shoot slug that are for smooth bore. buck shot is also fine.
  23. you sure do got a perdy gun!!!
  24. that is a cool cake.
