  1. Build a Glock frame and slide assembly that will accomodate the .30 Carbine and 7.65 Tokorev cartridge length and case head diameter of 45 ACP and then stand back and watch cartridge development get crazy. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  2. Anyone care to recommend a reputable Guide Service / Outfitter in East or Middle Tennessee?
  3. Not a creachture was stirring, not even a squirrel.
  4. It is factory drilled and tapped. Any comments about what anyone may think would be a good scope and ring combo? I would like a vintage or retro look.
  5. The action is operated by lever and there is spool rotary magazine below the breech block. The magazine is like an enblock Ruger 10/22 magazine.
  6. This old gal has a few more years on her than most women I am attracted to, but in only two short months she has become the love of my life. My wife actually gave her to me for my birthday (translation: she caught me sneaking her down the back steps to basement). 1952 Savage Model 99E in .308 Winchester.
  7. Be afraid Mr. Bushytail. Be very afraid.
  8. The guys at Southern Precision Machining Tooling Machine Shop did a great job with the Mauser. I highly recommend them. Southern Precision Tooling Machine Shop 4937 Indian Warpath Road, Maryville, TN 37803 (865) 977-6168
  9. Has anyone seen 22 Short available in the Blount Co area?
  10. I have a small ring FN Mauser in 7x57.  It is a family hand me down project that was never finished.  I need a decent gunsmith that can install some iron sights and maybe a pic rail for scout scope.   This is a 40 year old project that was never finish, but my teenage daughter now has an interest in deer hunting and I thought this would make a nice starter rifle.    Blount/Knox Area.  PM me please.
  11. I am their father. I am responsible for their safety.
  12. Froggy-that is one sweet lookin piece of iron. I'd mortgage my soul for one of those.
  13. Thanks. This big is a pretty good pistol shot. She likes a Smith 3953 and she has her own P22.
  14. Yes, but the Kahr is quite a bit thinner. I tried a couple of Kahrs, but could not trust my self with the reliability. Perhaps they have improved. I have only had one malfunction on a 3rd gen smith. It was a failure to feed. It was my fault. I accidentally got a .380 ACP round in the magazine of a 6906. It fired, but did not feed the next round.
  15. My 401K has been doing so well. I might as well buy guns instead of throwing it at the stock market.
  16. Bye the way-all of these photos were shot with the phone camera on a Blackberry!
  17. OK, I'm just stupid enough to ask (jackdm3). What is an "Iron Pipeline?". Bye the way, just returned from a visit to Memphis on Wednesday. The Law Enforcement presence on Beale Street was, shall we say, Overwhelming. I put my wallet in my front pocket and kept my back to a wall.
  18. My dealer called. My Gunbroker goodies were in. I had done some bidding and apparently my timing was good. I wound up with a CS9D and a Star Ultrastar in 9mm. The CS9D. This pistol was even better than I could have hoped for. Internally, it was sticky, varnishy. Like 10 year old WD40, if you have every observed that. Externally, at least 95% mint. It was in the original box with both mags and all paperwork. One mag has never been inserted or fired that I can tell. The gun has been shot, but based on the patterns and slide rails, I don't think more than one magazine at most. I am very happy. Incidentally, I got a Star Ultrastar in the exact same condition, original box, paperwork and manuals for $250 shipped. Picked it up at the same time. I was a good day. I think the economy is pushing people to put treasures up for sale. Good things come in small packages. My CS9D and Tacoma M-1 Acoustic Madolin The Star Ultrastar, for our Spanish friends. Action shot this evening of the CS9. 8 shots (1 mag and 1 in the pipe) 7 yards. Standing, from a Weaver Ready. Any body know what my options are to add night sights to a CS9?
  19. I was close, really close. I almost bought a M&P9c. Here is part of my story: I had 4006 for winter concealed carry. A little heavy. Got bored with it-put it in the safe. I got a 5904. Got bored with it-put it in the safe. I got a 6906. Got bored with it-put it in the safe. I got a 4053TSW. Got bored with it-put it in the safe. I got a 3914. Decided I wanted a DAO/Got bored with it-put it in the safe. I got a 3953. Wanted something slightly smaller. Started shopping for a CS9. Could not find one. Looked for a year. Started shopping for a M&P9c. Handled one a few times. Was trying to decide on with or without thumb safety. A kind forum member pointed me to a CS9D on Gunbroker. It will be here in a couple of days. Hopefully, this will put my urge to buy some plastic into remission for a few months at least. Here are some pictures of my addiction treatments along the way. Excuse me, but is there some part of "Don't Touch the Bear" that you do not understand?
  20. Coal Creek=I go in there about once every two years, then I tell myself I have no reason to ever go back. Bob Farnsworth in Vonore-They don't come any better. Been doing business with him for $20 years. Limited selection. Bad location for me. Money to Go Pawn-East Broadway in Maryville. Ken and Ron-awesome guys. $15 for FFL transfers. They give you a call the moment your order comes in. In and out in 8 minutes before.
  21. I don't like shiny guns as much as black/parkerized.
  22. I know this is off track from the CZ line, but based on you criteria, try a Police trade in 6906 or 3914 Smith & Wesson
