  1. Great-now I got to go change my drawers since I was laughing so hard I've stained myself.
  2. Did anyone hit the Gunshow this weekend (29/30 Mar) in Sevierville? How was it?
  3. I hope this message finds someone with more knowledge than I. Is the .400 Corbon dead? Why? Can I get a .400 Corbon barrel for my USPc 45? I do assume that a full size barrel (USP) will fit or function in a Compact frame? Thanks, ETB
  4. Has anyone seen locally (Knoxville) or mail order (CDNN, KY IMP, JG, Buds) the Kel-Tec .380 configured: Blue Frame-Parkerized or Blue Slide Gray Frame-Parkerized Slide I am shopping-can't find what I am looking for. Thanks, ETB
  5. The "Flu" kicked in my door and stomped the monkey manure out of me last week. I still ain't right. All I have wanted to do since is lay up under the porch and lick my.........
  6. I checked on out at WD Firearms in Knoxville today. I got a very "lukewarm" feeling from the sales associate. He declined to disassemble the slide from the frame so I could see the fit and finish on internals. I wanted to see if it was more like a Taurus or more like a Sig (in respect to machining marks, details, etc.). He also declined to swap the grip panel/backstrap from arched to straight (so I could grip it). I am not really sure they are in the business of ensuring customer satisfaction - so I left. His $569 price did not seem spectacular either. I'll keep looking. I did call CDNN later. I talked to Jerry. He priced the FNP at $348. Hummm. Ten bucks shipping plus $20 FFL Fee. Maybe a Steyr M9A1-They are still $339 from CDNN. Decisions. Decisions. Maybe I'll a just go throw a rock through Sheriff Andy's window. ETB/tg
  7. I keep seeing these things advertised but can't find out much about them. Any opinions o reviews? Any seen them for sale any where in the Knoxvegas AOR?
  8. A vest says "I'm packin" I like a twill blazer with jeans if it is cool. It has long tails that don't ride up. If is warm- a loose cut fishing type (Columbia) or Hawaiian Shirt makes thing easy. If I am in shorts, I wear a fanny pack and try to look as European and masculine as possible so people won't think I'm.....
  9. Congratulations. Think of the gun as an investment to counter the expense of the diapers, formula, pediatrician, birthday parties, sports uniforms, party dresses, prom dresses, designer jeans, cars, car repairs, etc. etc.........
  10. Where can I get a .357 Sig barrel for my 4006 Smithy?
  11. If you shop around a little-you could probably get a Smith 5906 or 5904, or any other 3rd generation Smith Auto (or even a new Sigma) and a Kel-Tec or a Taurus for under $600 and cover several bases. The biggest advantage would be flexibility in having a gun where you might need it-when you would need it. The other advantage is that if you buy used-it will only appreciate in value. And handugns are always very liquid investments. ETB/TG

  13. Corbon 185 JHP from my my USP Compact 45 really make a milk jug full of water go squish. My daughter nicked the census man with one and he ain't been back either.
  14. I can't figure it out. I must be stupid. I've: read the FAQs searched the forums I can not figure out how to put /upload pictures into my gallery then add them to a thread post. Please help the stupid. ETB
  15. I picked up a well carried but very tight S&W 4006. I like it. I like it a lot. I have a few of questions that other with more Smith experience may shed some light on. 1. Does anyone produce a .357 Sig barrel for 3rd gen smith autos? 2. Should I have any concerns about getting it Duracoated (I don't like shiny guns) 3. I have smaller hands and have tried the Pachmayr and Hogue Grips. Didn't like either. Does any one have thoughts over factory Straight backstrap grips vs. arched? Thanks, ETB pic link
  16. You can't beat a P11 Kel-Tec Light weight+small size+(9mm+P)+great warranty/factory support+S&W mags+frame clip+free factory trigger job+made in US of A+never a FTE or FTF=one great pistol at a great price Opinion by Trev
