  1. I am fairly ignorant on this topic. I have joined the t4r forum and am reading, reading, reading. I'm not really an impulse buyer so I will research more but thank you for your offer!
  2. So maybe it is my mid life crisis or maybe it is because I am a stay at home dad with three kids doing virtual school all day but I am really daydreaming a lot about getting into off roading. I want to buy a first gen 4runner, the kind you can take the top off of. There is one on Craigslist and two on Facebook marketplace in middle TN. I read online that there is a place an hour south of Nashville to go. Like an off road park. Where does on get started in this? Thanks.
  3. Another day, another 100$ spent. I had to be a little flexible but got free shipping.
  4. So I needed some gas rings for my AR. I tried Palmetto state Armory but no luck. I ended up at MidwayUSA. It has been a long time since I browsed that place. So, 190$ later I have all kinds of doodads coming my way for my rifles. I got a couple of spring/pin kits for repair but some tacticool stuff like some miculekesque compensators and a couple of charging handles. They have some uppers in stock that seem priced reasonable. They may get some more of my money later this week.
  5. I've got a very rare 29+1 mag for an AR15. I will post a pic around 5+1 o'clock.
  6. The perforation engineer and the graphic designer at Federal got together on this one?
  7. All of a sudden my Facebook feed is inundated with ads for body armor or plate carriers. I'm completely ignorant about this subject but somewhat interested. Where is a good place to start learning about this? Thanks.
  8. I have this one on one of my rifles and it has worked well so far. It is completely different in it's function but I have liked mine. https://blackhawk.com/ar-15-no-latch-ambidextrous-charging-handle/
  9. You list a gun in the classifieds here and the first person to respond has over ten positive feedback ratings and zero negative. I realized this yesterday. I posted a pistol for sale. Sure enough, the first respondant had 12 positive feedbacks. I knew right away this was going to be easy to close the deal. Every now and again I list something on Craigslist, knowing that actually finding a buyer who will show up with money on time is about a 50% chance. These thoughts came to me yesterday and it seemed appropriate to make them public. Thanks TGO.
  10. I use a kindle fire tablet. Every year or two I buy a new one. Like 100-150$. My wife is still clinging to her 6 year old iPad that cost 800$ and now hardly runs anything. I have streamed sling tv and YouTube tv on my tablet and it has been fine.
  11. This dude also chose a bolt action rifle?
  12. This is in the Tennessean today. Page 8.
  13. This is just too cool. I'm so cheap sometimes. This generosity encourages me to do likewise. thanks Kahrman!!!
  14. This is something I don't understand. How is GM gonna make ventilators? I can't imagine the assembly line changes and training and supply line logistics that have to be worked out. I would think it would take a month of work before they made one ventilator.
  15. Man. I forget about ammo, even mags, but I have yet to forget about a gun i own. I need to step up my game.
  16. I'm bummed. I was going to go shoot at stones river gun range today but they are closed.
  17. We use AT&T for internet. We have YouTube tv. I like it. We had sling for several years, but sling dropped the channel that the Preds games were on. Sling may have brought that channel back but I don't know. We watch a lot of sports. And Fancy Nancy and Polly Pockets and other stuff my daughter's like. So YouTube tv is a good fit for us. My wife will read the flyer from Comcast and it will have some outrageously low price advertised. I will then call or go on the website and it is for two years and the price doubles after the first year and equipment is extra and you have to sign up for paperless billing and automatic draft and a 2nd or 3rd tv is extra. It is a goal of mine to never give Comcast another dime as long as I live.
  18. I actually bought a box from each just to see if the discount was in the system but not on the shelf. It was not on 50% off at the Antioch or Harding place. But my persistence was rewarded at 100 oaks. This ammo was not on sale yesterday but today I bought this for 109.25$.
  19. This is a weird deal. I have been to several different Wal-Mart's. The one at Harding and Nolensville and the one on Murfreesboro rd in antioch. Neither one of them has these incredible prices. Their ammo cases still have a fair amount of ammo in them.
