  1. Seems like plenty of people are talking about the over-the-top marketing campaign and how it was a bust. But if alot of people are talking about the new product, didn't the marketing campaign work?
  2. +1 on the Springfield customer service! I haven't needed Walther yet, but thanks for the report.
  3. I like that it has a mid-length gas system.
  4. It looks like a decent mid-level AR to me. All the hype was certainly too much. If there is a panic buy and I can sell my pmags for 30$ each, I might pick one up later.
  5. I really, really hope Mariota is a good quarterback. He seems level headed, hasn't gotten into any trouble. I wish him the best.
  6. My wife got tickets from work, good ones. My son and I went, they did look quite good. Both running backs had solid performances.
  7. I didn't start until 95!
  8. Darned if you do, darned if you don't.
  9. Mikegideon gets me. It was sarcasm trying to acknowledge the LGS attempting to hype up sales. I think it is a definite possibility of a run on guns/ammo/mags but only time will tell.
  10. For you, I would do 25$ each on the pmags.
  11. As of today, I have not used smokeless tobacco for four weeks. I had used it almost half of my 41 years on this earth, but decided it was time to quit. It has not been easy, but it has not been as difficult as I feared. I am over the physical nicotine withdrawal for a couple of weeks now, but the situational habit of having a dip in when shooting or going to gun stores or just driving is still very strong at times. I thank God, and my wife for encouraging, not nagging, me in this. If this is something you need to do, do it.
  12. I was at a gun store this morning, and one of their employees was giving the "you better stock up now before the election" sales pitch. I also received an email from another gun store that said "all distributors are out of 5.56". So it begins. I got some pmags for sale for 30$ each.
  13. Well, it looks like the end for my tahoe. The transfer case was bone dry. Now, whenever I drive it, it "slaps" at the front drive shaft, trying to turn it, making a loud metallic clunk or snap. I did fill it up with the appropriate fluid, but looks like the damage is done. This was an old beater type car, paid three grand for it a year and a half ago, we probably won't pay to have it repaired, although if I think I can fix it, I might try. In other news, we are going minivan shopping this weekend. Wish me luck
  14. Is the transfer case supposed to have more than two drops of oil in it?
  15. Thanks! Well, after posting I decided to just Jack up the rear end and let the wheels turn, noise is coming from the transfer case. I'm sure this will be cheap....
  16. So my 2001 chevy tahoe with 288,000 miles on it started making this awful clack-clack-clack noise this morning, clacking faster as I sped up. After googling a couple how to videos, I think I can replace the cv axles, but my question is how do I know that is the problem? Please, someone tell me if this idea is dumb/foolish/dangerous: can I remove the cv axles, then drive around the front yard and see if the noise is gone? It is four wheel drive of course and I am talking about the front axles. Thanks TGO!
  17. No worries! Just try to get it done before new years day.
