Egyptian Maadi

so I'm looking at an Egyptian Maadi AK variant.

I'm going to be honest with y'all, i don't really know a hill of beans about AK's but i want one none the less. so my question to the board is. what's a fair price to pay in today's climate? And how does it stack up compared to all of the other AK variants out there.

as far as the actual gun im looking at. it has a polymer all connected pistolgrip stock.(yes i am showing my ignorance) the fore grip is plastic and i think it may be too big? or just not right for the sights that are on it.

if i were to get it, my plans would be put a collapsible stock, quad rail on the front, and maybe down the road a red dot.

i know its an AK its not going to be a tack driver, im just looking for "minute of zombie."

what do all of you "gurus" think?

I personally think if it's a maadi ARM iported by acc intrac of knoxville .... AWESOME gun buy it. If you are in state and he's not asking over 6-700 I will buy it if you pass. I would value it around 450 in a normal climate had a guy that wouldn't take less than 800 .... so that's a rough range on it for you to determine value, but they are solid shooters, and cut the 2 tac welds and it's got good threads under it. Cycles like a champ ... deadly accurate for an AK ......

If it's a SAR MISR or other maadi variant I can't speak for it, but if it's the maadi arm it's spectacular.

My wife has a Maddi imported by Intrac in Knoxville.

Still has the original Laminated wooden thumbhole stock.

She really likes it. With field sight you can pretty much knock bowling pins all day with it.

I had thought about seeling it and getting her one in .223 but the guys on the board talked some sensw in to my head. :D
