1911 Springfield LW

I just got this, and man will it shoot. right out of the box it put 1 on the X at 25 yards them 6 more within 3 in. freehand shooting fairly fast. I have about 250 rounds through it and I can now say the Kimber is going in the safe.

The only thing I don't like is none of the Wilson mags will lock back on empty all others will.

My dad just gave this to me it was my moms gun until about 10 years ago.

One of my dad's friends did this to it about 8 years ago why I do not know. My dad said he paid $15 for it back in 1959.

The guy is dead now so no need to worry. It was all a big joke at the time, he gave it to my dad for mothers day in a nice wooden box and a card telling my dad he was the biggest mother in the world.

Maybe someday I will get a can of black paint and give it a good dousing. but for now I will keep it locked in the safe so it will not offend anyone.
