Truly, how many 50mm lenses does a person need?

Up for sale is a Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens — a favorite among portrait, wedding, and creative photographers for its stunning image quality and beautiful, creamy bokeh. This is one of Canon’s most iconic L-series prime lenses, known for its super-fast f/1.2 aperture, making it perfect for low-light situations, shallow depth-of-field portraits, and artistic photography with incredible background separation.

Condition:
This lens is fully functional and in great working order. It shows slight cosmetic wear from normal use and has a small scratch on the coating of the front element. I’ve done my best to show it in the photos — though please note it looks much more noticeable in the picture than in person, as I used a macro lens to capture it clearly for full transparency.

Important Note:

Tiny marks like this on the front element rarely, if ever, affect image quality, especially at this size and location. This lens continues to deliver sharp, beautiful images with its signature character and bokeh. For more information, check out this article via Lensrentals:

https://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2022/11/how-front-element-scratches-affect-your-images/

Highlights:

  • Exceptional low-light performance with a bright f/1.2 aperture
  • Renowned for creamy, buttery bokeh and stunning subject separation
  • Solid, weather-sealed L-series build quality
  • Fast, accurate USM autofocus motor
  • Classic 50mm focal length — a versatile option for portraits, street, event, and everyday photography
  • Works beautifully on both full-frame and crop-sensor Canon EF-mount cameras

Includes: Front and rear caps, hood, pouch

If you’ve been looking for a chance to own this legendary lens at a great price, this is it!

Going to keep this one simple, all photos hosted via Smugmug. You can view the original size and also download the full-resolution images to your device for inspection. Also, you can view the EXIF data via the "Information" button on the left after you select a photo.

In general, first set of photos taken at f/1.2 with the 50mm, slightly after that a set at f/4.0 with the 50mm, then of course actual images of the lens itself.
