I just ordered a T-shirt from www.cheaperthandirt.com ! Anyone have any dealings with them? Are they good about shipping? I know the prices where descent!

Also, what about www.cafepress.com ?

I've ordered some misc stuff, and ammo from cheaper than dirt... I've never had a problem, but I have heard complaints about their customer service, nothing I'd worry too much about. I'd order from them again.

I use to live about a mile from CTD when it was a little 1 man shop that mainly carried knives and old surplus now it's about as big as a tracter supply store. When I'm back home I still go in and get ammo great bunch of people.

As for the customer service, One time at band camp, wait different story.

Their customer service treated me very well two different occassions. Both times they spent near fifteen minutes with me making sure what I wanted was what was being ordered. I like dealing with that company.

I have ordered form thme before, it's just been quite a while. Never had a problem, didn't even need to use customer service.

I just tried to purchase some magazines using a Visa gift card I got for Christmas. They said the card was declined due to shipping address being different than billing address. (Its a gift card, there is no billing address). I then checked my card balance and it said the purchase at CTD was approved and the money ($165.00) was deducted from my card balance. I have e-mailed customer service to find what gives, but won't know until the morning when customer service is open. I hope the order goes through, I really want the extra magazines.

ETA: I got the mags.

Good experiences for me. I ordered some of the collapsible water containers that leaked. CTD refunded the full price, including shipping both ways.

They are good about shipping. IIRC, they send you the tracking number.

I have gotten a few things from them. I had a question about a kit I ordered and a part was missing, or was it? I called them and the nice lady told my dumb butt where the hidden flap was and all was well. I apologised for being a moron and she accepted. Was a very nice lady.

Some of the mil surplus stuff I got smelled heavy of mildew (imagine that)

Got a bunch of NATO gas cans from them CHEAP a while back. Seemed good. Also were one of the companies to jump all over the panic buying post-election, kind soured me on them...

I have never bought from CTD. But you should never buy STDs, IT takes weeks to get rid of some but some will kill you!

I have used CTD many times in the past for a few items with no problems. As of late they seem to be doing a bit of gouging on some of their ammo though.

I just saw a notice on XDTalk about a scam on the Cheaper Than Dirt Auction for ammo. Anyone here may want to check out the link to see the details but apparently there is someone using three different user ID's and claiming to have ammo up for sale.
