Just got moved into the new house and want to get the security system activated and monitored.

What company do you use/suggest and why? Cost isn't the ultimate decider but is weighted into the decision.

I'm partial to Saiga, but, use Springfield with great regularity. Smith & Wesson is also pretty highly considered. Ruger, Glock, and Sig make pretty good systems. Remington and Mossberg have very good heavy systems.

If you ment alarm systems, buy the cheapest that gets you a full discount on home owners insurance.

Im in the same boat as you. Thincking about ASAP or ADT. Tried APX, as they were going door to door in my neiborhood. Had a 3 day trial period, at the end of it I cancelled. They had alot of bad reviews online. Also wanted 50 a month and 3 year contract to monitor. Just wasnt satisfied with there qualty of service overall.

depends on where you are.

Bad bowtie, call fleenor security, I think he services your area.

Abailey92,

Find a local company, better service.

All in all here are my suggestions:

1. Stay away from any company that does not monitor the account in side the USA (read ADT uses India).

2. Research the alarm company, ask for references.

3. You do NOT want to talk to a salesman, ask for the owner or a tech. to come out.(they will tell you what you can and can't do).

4. ADT, Brinks, and a few others use special chipsets in the alarm panels, what this means is they are the only one's that will EVER be able to monitor or work on it.

5. Ask the alarm company if they use "industry standard" equipment.

6. Ask them also "If I am unhappy with your service after the inital contract (mine is 1 year) can another alarm company work on the equipment and will you release the programming codes to me if I ask"

I hope this helps.

PM me if you need anything.:)
