Some women like purses with a special pocket bulit into it for a pistol, but IMHO it's just not as handy as having one strapped on your person. Let's say someone comes up and says "give me all your money". She would have the choice of which pocket to open first. Now let's say someone comes up and says "give me your purse" (which I would think would be more likely to happen so they could make a fast getaway), in this situation they now have your purse and your gun.

My wife is picking up her S&W 642 tomorrow.

Anyone have any suggestions for women carrying or holster suggestions?

Thank You!

I know women who carry on their ankle...(a couple are LEOs) it is more comfortable for them...

It is going to be a trial and error till you find her the right one...my buddies wife carried hers on the small of her back...

My wife carries in her purse. I agree it's not the ideal situation, however I would rather her carry something than become a victim. She has practiced her draws and is always aware of her surrounding and is on her gun when walking through unsecured environments.
