Sorry for the photo quality. There wasnt much left to see by the time we got a camera on scene.

One of the guys that shoots with us out at CHMR brought by a "wall" today to do a demo for some of the guys. Every shot was taken at 9' mostly dead on. .22LR, 410, 20,.380, 40 S&W, 45ACP, 357sig and 44mag.

EVERYTHING penetrated the wall. Really makes you think even harder about how much you have to realize what lies beyond your shot.

We also took a few shots at a 45 degree angle to the "door jamb" (3 2 x 4 thick) as well as a few shots directly at the frame.

The 45ACP didnt penetrate but that could be the soft load as well as a soft lead tip. The only ones available that did make it through were the 44 mag and 357sig both FMJ and JHP.

This isnt an attempt at seeing "Which caliber is better" it was just a demonstration with what was available to us today

Just thought I would share

I've always been curious how something would do with my old mortar and lathe walls. I would also like to see this demonstration with a fully assembled wall with a stud in the middle, batt and opposing drywall.

from about 30-36" my xd 9 would penetrate through a treated 6x6 piece of lumber(fresh not rotten) some of the brands didn't go all the way thru, but many did for inexpensive stuff. didn't try +p though. I need to bring it to a meet sometime to demonstrate

no insulation on this round. thinking about adding some for the next round as well as a piece of vinyl siding. We're wanting to try a different load/bullet on the 45 acp as well as frangible on the 9 or 357sig.
