Agree with all above comments! One of the best movies to come out of that era from Hollywood. And one of my many all-time favorite movies. So many great scenes in it that it's hard to pick a best one. But a few...

when Oddball shoots the panzer in the rear with paint cannisters

when the panzer commander raises his eyebrow at the bank and shoots the door open

When the three shermans attack the railyard from the tunnel...

and any Carroll O'Conner scene.

Woof! Woof!;)

PS Mike, how ya' doin?

one last thought.

why didn't the Panzer blow the crap out of the bank when it shot through the door?

I wondered that even in 1970 when I was a little kid

Maybe the gunner used some sort of anti-personnel round instead of AP?

I've never looked into it but I would think that even in the 1940s they'd have various types of artillery shells for different types of targets...

P.S. Watched To Hell and Back today, and tried to get through The Big Red One. Couldn't do it. Trying to pass off Sherman tanks as German was just more than I could take. :usa:
