Anyone had any gun shops around sight in their hand guns? I had regular white three dot sights on my xd. It shot point of aim from the factory extremely accurate could tear one big hole in the bulls eye area. I then had a gun smith install the trijicon tritium night sights on it. He said he wouldnt need to sight em in but I begged to differ. I shot it the other day and it is indeed off. Where have yall had the most success taking it to have it sighted in? I can go chattanooga, cleveland, athens, knoxville, etc. No middle tn deals.

Any chance you can get the original gunsmith to finish the job he started? That assumes you want him to work on your xd again. It sounds to me like he didn't finish the job you hired him to do.

Well, I would but since his idiotic behind didnt do it right the first time I dont trust him. I normally would have taken it else where but at the time I was working near cleveland and had VOW gun smith do it. It was shooting POA before now it shoots to the right.

I hate to sound like a broken record since I don't go to many gun stores. A few months ago had Sportsmans Supply put night sights on a Kahr (I had mail-ordered the sights and chickened out putting them on myself). They didn't charge very much, did not take a long time to get it done, and adjusted the POA in their range downstairs and gave me a test target of the results. Was very happy with the work, speed, and price.

Other Chatt stores have gunsmiths and ranges, but having never had the work done elsewhere, can't comment on the others.

Surely some TGOer near Chattanooga has a XD or a universal sight tool. I'd look for someone on here that would let you borrow the tools. I've got a spreadsheet around somewhere that tells how much to move the rear sight based on the distance shooting, sight radius of the gun, difference in POA and POI, etc.

BTW, I sure don't blame you for letting the old gunsmith work on your XD again!
