Loaded mag and the inability to chamber a round

Recommended Posts

My question is that in my Glock 30, if I have a round in the chamber and I put a fresh FULL mag (10 rds) in and try to rack the slide (ejecting the chambered round and replacing it with one from the fresh mag) the slide stops. I physically cannot rack the slide. If I shoot it it is no problem, it cycles fine...any thoughts?

I had the same problem, including seating a fully loaded magazine, when I had my 30. I solved the problem by only loading 9 rounds in the magazine. :(

Then I carried a Glock 21 13rd magazine as a backup. My guess would be that the 10th cartridge just places too much pressure on the bottom of the slide. Maybe if the magazine springs had less tension it would work.

Did Glock get your 30 running right?
