Lately I have been going to the range at least once a week and I find myself leaving guns at home because I honestly don't have $100 or more a week to blow on ammo for all my guns. Sooooo if I want to start reloading, which I have never spent time thinking about, nor do I know anything about, but if Lee has varying quality, what companies have outstanding quality and value? Where are the best places to order these things? If I'm going to be using it for years to come, I might as well get something higher quality.

Hi AU_88

dlm37015 lives pretty close to you, is a great guy and reloading dealer, and can give expert advice. From what I hear the prices are as good or better than anyplace else.

You are likely to get the most bang for the buck in savings by reloading your most expensive ammo first. Ferinstance you will save more reloading .357Mag than 9mm, just because .357 Mag is a lot more expensive at the store, but it isn't a lot more expensive than 9mm to reload.

don't discount lee entirely, their dies and steel presses are as good as any other for single stage or turret. You just don;t want aluminum framed press (slowly deforms over time). Hornady, RCBS also make good stuff. Dillon is best, for advanced setups. You can get them online with a search for reloading stuff, there are really only a few brands but many sellers of those. I get most of my stuff from sportsman's warehouse, which is the lazy way out, it has a good stock of basics. The rest, I web search for and try to figure out what I need.

I'm a commercial fisherman so catching fish pays my bills. Pouring bullets is no different than pouring sinkers. Got to watch for the ripples. How long does this alox lube have to sit before ready to size bullets?
