As is usually the case, some of the comments are just plain idiotic.

Sad story and a story that I suspect has a lot more to be told concerning why this happened in the first place. However, it doesn't change the simple truth that good people need to be always armed and ready to defend themselves and others because you are never truly safe from acts like this.
