It's really not that bad lol. It's only bird shot and the bolt takes some recoil away seeing as its gas operated just like an AK.

The buck does make my shoulder hurt. My son carries the Saiga, not me. Too damn heavy, but is a lot of fun.

You want to talk about your shoulder hurting....try going to th Tactical Response Fighting Shotgun 2 day course using only your non dominate hand/arm. Check out my video in the "Tactics and Training" section. I'm still recovering from a stress fracture I got from holding my Saiga-12 up and shooting it for two days from 8am to 5 pm lol.
