if you have to send the gun back to kel tec for repairs they will replace the mag release automatically there have been so many peoblems. you have to depress the mag catch to insert the mag as well as remove it .

I don't recall having to do that with mine...although I only had it a couple weeks..it rusted the first time I carried it...BEFORE I even got home...so I quickly decided to trade it off for something else.

Makes me miss my P3AT though...it never rusted on me...and I carried it for a year.

Kel Tec now has a metal mag release. I have two PF9's and sent one back for the upgraded frame and it came back with with a metal release.

I like the PF9. I have had no problems out of mine. The one I bought new has hundreds of rounds through it but the ejector roll pin was walking toward the hammer. The new frame takes care of this. The other PF9 I bought used and have not shot it much but it has not missed a lick either.

I'd probably look at a Kahr, first.

I have to agree with this statement. Although more money, the Kahr CW9 is 10 times the pistol the pf9 is in my opinion. It really isn't a fair comparison though.

My hands are a little big so out of the two, I like the p11 better honestly. :koolaid:
