Raven Phantom and belt?

Recommended Posts

A couple days ago I received my Ares Ranger belt. I really like it and it holds my iwb handgun really nice without sagging. I am fixing to order a RC Phantom Modular owb holster. The Ares belt is 1.5" wide, so would I order a 1.5" wide holster or go with the 1.75"?
The belt is very stiff and didn't know if the 1.5" belt loop holster would be a problem feeding the belt through.

1.5" loops work fine with the Ares Ranger belt. You'll have to work the belt through the loops, but this is due to the contour of the holster and the narrow width of the loops from front to back. You'd have to work the belt through with 1.75" loops, too.

It makes for a great system that I use daily. Even a government sized 1911 with a x300 attached stays put without an issue.

Thanks for the response. Just wanted to make sure that the 1.5" belt would work with the 1.5" holster size loop. You know how long it takes to get the holster from Raven so I just wanted to make sure before ordering and then being bummed if it didn't fit. Thanks again!

Also be advised that 1.75 in belts will not fit a lot of standard pants including some blue jeans.  1.5 is a good call.  Even a 1.25 double layer gun belts will support a holster properly and also fit most dress pants.  I always ask my customers where they will be carrying most.
