Powder still MIA?

Recommended Posts

So, how's the powder availability now? Haven't been hunting down supplies since I packed up everything for our move almost 2 months ago. Thinking about setting the bench back up and start cranking em out again. But I remember pistol powder being almost impossible to come by. Really won't be any point setting up if powder or other components are really hard to come by. I've checked gunbot to gauge it and seem some pistol powder available, but I much rather buy in person.

Only loading 9mm right now.

So is it still rare to find powder?

Depends on the powder you're using and your location. Here in Cleveland, I haven't been able to find any good pistol powder. If Benton shooters has some they want your first born for it. Look up sam37015, her and her dad are selling powders at a fair price. Might be in your area, check em out. Sent from a mobile device

Check the Franklin Gun Shop. I haven't been in there in several months, but they've always had a decent supply any time I've been there. I don't reload often enough to know how their prices compare, but it's a moot point if you can't find it anywhere else.

You can get a good selection of rifle powder here in Memphis. Pistol is rare though. Avery has had 1lb of AA9 on the shelf for 2 weeks. I found a pound of unique at SW tucked behind all the other powder last week (and bought it). That's all I've seen.

I think David and Sam have some, but I seem to have a hard time getting responses and I don't think they make it out towards Memphis much.
