Arsenal vs DDI AK 47

So who makes the best AK? I'm trying to help guide someone's purchase of a new rifle. They are stuck between Arsenal and DDI. Is there anything that I should know about either brand that one of you has had experience with?

edit: They backed away from the whole AK idea and now I will be in the market for one once my AR sells.

I had a DDI and it was the most accurate AK I have ever shot. Have no reliability issues. I will say that it is the first AK I owned that felt like a new gun.

Best gun of the two is the Arsenal but the best bang for the buck between the two is the DDI.

Personally I would get a WASR and buy ammunition or AK specific gear with the money saved. The WASR problems were long in the past. I have bought at least 1/2 dozen Romanian guns in the last two years and ALL have been perfect. I just bought a WASR for my wife and getting ready to buy another to go with my standard Draco SBR and my mini Draco pistol.

There was a recent article about one of the full auto rental places and they said the Romanian barrels last a very, very long time. Longer than any other because it is a cold hammer forged barrel with Crome lined bore.

WASR 10/63?

WASR 10/63?

Those were made with surplus or repurposed parts from military rifles, I believe. And aren't being currently made cause the source for parts was used up.

The WASR 10 or 10 GP, whatever, is the current config from Romania, and is made from all new parts. Imported as single stack mag capable, then modified by Century to accept double stack mag and other parts changed to meet 922r compliance.

Good to hear. I picked up a Century because I didn't want to get burned on a new gun purchase.
