  1. I acquired 500 rounds of Russian made Wolf Military Classic, its grey so I'm assuming its polymer and not lacquer coated ? A friend told me that its bad stuff and will cause problems with my gun, not sure if he was referring to the older lacquered stuff. So grey casings are polymer and green are lacquer ? Thanks
  2. I have both a G19 and a G26, even with the Pearce or Glock extended mags I prefer to carry the 26. All that said I carry a kimber.
  3. Hello, I'm wondering about first hand experiences with the Glock 36. I have a 19 and 26 which I love as well as a Kimber UC II but looking for a backup carry in .45. I like the singlestack vs the G30. Any opinions or experience ? I've also seen some of the smaller 1911s , the SA and S&W appeal to me... suggestions appreciated and welcome. Thanks -red
  4. I drive to Wyoming every summer and always avoid Illinois because of this plus the speed limit and gas prices, the Missouri bootheel is a nicer drive anyway. Of course everyone can't just avoid Illinois.
  5. I have a Ultra Carry II with meprolight sights and Hogue Grips. Picked it up this summer on a whim and love it. The store said it had only been traded in 30 minutes earlier, already broken in its my carry piece now replacing the G19 and then the LC9. I like it so much I'm considering another, maybe a super carry or if the solo 9mm ever becomes available.
  6. Nice 1911, I'm a huge fan if the officer frame 1911s, my Kimber UC II makes me look like a better shooter than I am too. I may need to look at one of these. I have the Hogue grips and like the feel, how much thinner are the rosewood grips ? Even with the Hogue grips it is slimmer/more concealable than a glock, IMHO.
  7. As a TN HCP Holder and resident of TN but a landowner/part time resident in Maine Thanks for your efforts.
  8. I stumbled on a used Ultra Carry II earlier this summer, upgraded grips and night sights. Its a nice gun, as stated previously easy to carry and accurate. Its my new favorite.
  9. I was searching for LC9 , I see several posts and have contributed in several threads containing this string, every search ends up with Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

    Wife loves the LC9

I took my wife and LC9, G3 Glock 19 and my Kimber Ultra Carry II to the range to see which one she would like to shoot. She hit the target a few times with the LC9 but was more accurate with the Glock being not accustomed to handguns at all, shotguns on a clay course is her specialty. She is also a black belt.... After trying all 3 I decided that the LC9 for me is a nice carry weapon but I'm sticking with the Kimber 45. Not sure if I want to sell the LC9 or I just need to practice with it more.
  11. I have a LC9 and a glock 19, definitely like the G19 3G trigger better. Side by side with my friends Kahr, for a newbie its a good pistol for me, a little long trigger pull but the size is nice. I don't mind the safety, the LCI etc. Its pretty accurate after a few hundred rounds, never a jam and its small, did I say that already. For each his own but I like it.

    Ruger LC9

I have one of these, its a nice size and I don't mind all the safety features. I have about 200 rounds on this and am getting more accurate. I have shot a PM9 and Glock 26 which I like but I may look at a Kimber solo too. After 2 weeks jury is still out out overall I Like this pistol.
