  1. I'm here and will be shooting my QuickSight C at the MCTS shoot Saturday. Welcome to the club!
  2. I love mine, I bought the quick sight model so I may let my original model go. Were you at CHMR ? Both of mine are C,s sounds like you shot the F, 15+1 in the C.
  3. great report, I had zero issues with my PM9 during break-in and the recoil isn't that bad, I hope my PM45 is as good.
  4. I have remora holsters for my Kahr PM9, my Kimber Ultra Carry II and the mag holders. Spend the extra $5 and get the sweat shield, it keeps the grip off of your hip and your gun from getting stinky.
  5. Been licensed since 1977, just recently got back on the air. I'll join the group, thanks for sharing.
  6. Thanks for the tip on the aftermarket trigger and hammer kit, looks like the fix for what I didn't like about the LC9. I agree, try as many guns as possible before you buy, don't do like I did and buy every pistol only to find out there is something that ain't perfect, That is until the PM9 Ruger SR9, Galloway Precision Asheville, NC LC9 performance parts
  7. I've had a Ruger LC9, a Beretta Nano and now have a Kahr PM9. They are all easily concealable, each is different. I found the trigger pull on the LC9 a bit long but it was a nice slim gun. The Nano was short and thin but taller than my G26, it didn't have a slide lock which I believe was to prevent snags when drawing. The PM9 is my favorite for now, not too long of a trigger, small and concealable and so far reliable all said the Sig 938 is on my radar. I've never shot the kimber solo but they are next to impossible to get unless you are willing to pay a premium. I carried a Kimber Ultra Carry alot last summer, I'm not too big @ 5'8" and 175, worked under a Hawaiian shirt.
  8. I'll probably not install it, I traded the 22/45 for a modded mkIII with volquartsen kit and mk2 bushing, I'll leave this one alone. I watched several youtube videos and It's amazing, I struggle with reassembly of the mainspring but when it "clicks" it is easy.
  9. Thanks, I have a Mad River Freedom The gheenoe looks like what I want for larger water, I do like the kayak idea. The riverhawk looks interesting too. The Riverhawk looks even better, the B-60 with front and read decks.
  10. How do you delete a duplicate post ?
  11. My 22/45 is a bear to take apart, even harder to get back together without practice. Its not much of a probelem any more but I ordered the speed strip anyway, just this week. I've also been told to use a liberal amount of CLP and just don't worry about it which seems to be the consensus here. I'll report back as soon as I have tried it.
  12. I just read about those mods yesterday, it seems that the MKIII grips are out of stock everywhere. I'd love to do these to my MKIII 22/45 if I could find the parts.
  13. I'm wondering what people are using to fish on these rivers, something like a 15' waterfowler ? I just want to go toss some flies when they are running on the Caney. tired of wading.. Thanks -david
  14. I've had good luck with sportsmansguide.com however just went in on a reloader with a friend so that will be my new .45 and 9mm source for range ammo.
  15. It amazes me too how many people freak at the hammer on a 1911, it's usually the same ones that ask why I keep a chambered round in my carry weapon..
  16. There are threads on steyrclub.com and caracalforum.com . I ordered one from compactfirearms.com and one from shooterconnectioncom. A friend picked one up near Knoxville, once I shot it I had to have one. There is some talk that these will be unavailable for a while due to a dispute between Waffen Werks and Caracal AE, All I know is what I've read on the other forums and that they are fantastic guns.
  17. I have two variants of these, I like them as much or more than my G19
  18. I can't seem to figure out how to post a review, I'm sure have done this before. figured it out, DOH!
  19. Here is a pic, 150 flawless rounds Fri afternoon, I'm a lot better with my G26 or Kimber so I may let this one go.
  20. Mine came in today, I liked the size and pinky extension of my LC9 but didn't care for the trigger pull. I'll try to get this out to the range tomorrow and see how it performs.
  21. Would love to know how it performs, it's on my short list. I love my ultra carry II although it was already broken when purchased.
  22. +1 for the compact Kimbers, I usually carry a Ultra Carry II but am considering an upgrade or just another, maybe the Springfield Ultra Compact in SS or a CDP II
  23. I saw one in broad daylight, 10 AM on Jackson Blvd in Belle Meade. He was looking for a lunch of little dog.
