All this debate gas vs electric may well be a waste of breath in the end

“The World Economic Forum (WEF) published a paper that calls for an end to “wasteful” private car ownership in favor of communal sharing to lessen global demands for precious metals and fossil fuels.”

So how do I get a boat to the water, horses to a trail head, or tow my Jeep to a offroad park? Who should I call to pull these trailers?

Alabama drivers are the absolute worst at doing this. I frequently silently wish that I had a couple of M2's in the front of my vehicle to nail them for it!

I'm going to add Texas drivers and people from Bedford county TN to this.

I just saw on the ABC evening news, Wild Wild West was mentioned several times. The NYC mayor even said it, while they were showing a clip of a subway shooting. All I could think was “looks like it’s already the Wild West, maybe now somebody on the subway will be armed and can stop the shooter”.

I'm sure they will make the subway a sensitive place where carrying is not allowed which will mean people who use it will have to leave their weapon at home. They will do all they can get away with to limit people carrying guns as much as possible.

Boatman, my daughter is going to open a trail ride business for her own horses. The trails will not be open to the public. Her farm is around Rockvale/ Eagleville TN area here in Middle TN. My daughter boarded a horse, Jax, and its owner recently purchased a farm in Bell Buckle. Are you Jax owner?

    No I am not.

I We are marking and cutting horse trails on 90 acers. Just finished marking 61 acers yesterday and still have 28 acers left to mark.

Are these trails going to be open to the public or just for their personal use? If it's going to be public I'd like more info please.

Just ordered a set of glow plugs for my Ford diesel and the set, including the wiring harness that runs through the valve cover gaskets, comes to $350. And I'll do the labor. Everything is more expensive....

Do the fords really need the glow plugs? I have the grid heater unhooked in my 6.7 Cummins and can't tell any difference in how it starts in cold weather.

  7. As long as you feel ok I wouldn't worry about it. I had the vaccine and my wife caught it. She had not gotten the vaccine at the time. Sick at home for a week before going into the hospital for a week. I waited on her and slept in the same bed with her. Never caught it. I felt like if I did catch it from her it would be mild since I had the vaccine and the worst thing would be having to quarantine.

After reading this I feel like this is going somewhere. For me the question is how far do they go. Roberts, who I don't trust,  even asked some good questions so he may be on board but  wouldn't bet money on him.

Waiting for some input on "Sun" while my eyes are resting.

My copy of Sun came in yesterday but I'm trying to hold off reading it until I go on vacation in another week. If no one else has any input before then I'll post what I think about it. It's very tempting to go ahead and start on it but so far I've held off.

The 16 gauge is making a resurgence,  and for good reason...it is the perfect shotgun.

I haven't heard this but I'm glad to hear it. I hope ammo selection gets back to what it once was.

WE are all responsible for this.

I do not feel like I have any responsibility for this. I have not bought or sold the first box of ammo during this shortage. I prepare for times like this so I don't have to play that game. If you think I am, please explain.

  12. I've had the first dose too and get the second at the end of the month. Like highpower I was at the doctor for a checkup and he encouraged me to take it. He had it set up for me to take it then if I wanted it. I did ask several questions before I agreed to do it. I went from probably not going to take it to glad I did. He didn't push me to take it but did tell me I made the right decision. I'm not trying to talk anyone into doing it but still believe it's everyone's personal choice and I understand having doubts about it because I sure did. Between being 65 and being encouraged by my doctor, who had it himself,  I decided to do it.

There is so much to learn. I've been a member since 2008 and still don't have 1000 posts because I'm soaking up things others have posted.

This. My dad always told me you learned more listening than talking. That's definitely true here,

  14. I bought one early last year and have used it for other things but I have not yet used it for a power outage. I did get it out and ready when the icing  started. The lights started blinking off and on  so I started it up but I never lost power. I let it run until we went to bed, then shut it off. I run it once a month with a partial load on it for 20 or 30 minutes.  It's very reassuring to have.
