There is so much to learn. I've been a member since 2008 and still don't have 1000 posts because I'm soaking up things others have posted.
This. My dad always told me you learned more listening than talking. That's definitely true here,

I bought one early last year and have used it for other things but I have not yet used it for a power outage. I did get it out and ready when the icing started. The lights started blinking off and on so I started it up but I never lost power. I let it run until we went to bed, then shut it off. I run it once a month with a partial load on it for 20 or 30 minutes. It's very reassuring to have.

We are not allowed to wear masks with the exhaust vents at work.

I've tried all kinds of masks with and without the metal band and my glasses fog up with all of them. None will stay up either. I think my whiskers pull them down. I pull it up when I think I need to but I will pull it down when I need to see where I'm going or what I'm doing. I wear one at work (for three more weeks and I'm done!) and when I go into a store but they just don't seem to work very well for me, I'm really looking forward to not having to wear one very often.

Shelbyville also had a empty case also. I did see one box of shot
gun shells on the shelf. I'm sure glad I don't need anything.

I'll say it again. Make sure the springs are installed correctly and you'll be good. That's a great trigger. I have a ssa and a ssa-e. Love them both. On my last one I went with something else just to see how much difference there was. It's good but it's not a geisselle.

Just in case you don't know, anything in the control circuit can shoot that fuse and that board is going to be the highest priced part in that circuit.

I know this sounds like a stretch since I'm in north Bedford county but I was out side when this happened and heard a explosion from the north. It went on for at least five seconds. It is very quiet here at 6:30am here on Christmas morning so maybe that's what it was. I didn't think about it again until I saw it on the news and made the connection.

We use the UV-5RTP in our jeeps off roading. Good little radios. I think you'll be happy with them. I listen to Bedford and Rutherford counties on mine quite often.

I just checked my 401K. Off about 23% since January.
I wish I had not seen this. I haven't looked and don't want to know.

S&W 629 Classic 6" 44Mag. I've wanted a .44 mag for 30 years or more but it was hard to spend that much money for something I would not carry or shoot that much. Now I don't know why I waited so long.

I had one of those many years ago. I still regret letting it go.

There is getting to be so many on LBL that if you don't see any when out on a boat you're just not looking. I regularly see a half dozen without really trying. I have several pictures on my phone and you can tell it's a eagle but can't zoom in enough to get a really good picture. I really enjoy watching them.

I imagine if it's still on the road after all these years it probably a good one. Many were not.
You'll want a copy of this if you get it. https://www.amazon.com/Keep-Volkswagen-Alive-Step-Step/dp/1566913101
Great book. If you are mechanically inclined you can use that book and repair anything on a VW.

I may be missing something but after the amendments were put in there I I can't see why they bothered passing this bill.

So would one of these loaded with shot shells be good for killing carpenter bees? That would seem like some inexpensive fun.
Yes, I use a single six like that. It works and is lots of fun.

Those look really good. I wish I had the nerve to try one but I cant see myself getting results like that.

I've been collecting boat key floats for years. Anytime I( go somewhere new I pick one up. I get them out every year and decorate a second christmas tree entirely with the key floats.

I saw that but didn't realize what I was seeing. I also thought it looked different and now I know why. Thanks for posting this.

No way! That makes my legs weak just watching it.

In case every one is wondering where all those late 90 and early 00 trucks and SUVs went, clash for clunkers reset the auto industry.
My son who was a tech at a Dodge/Jeep dealer at the time talked about draining the oil out of nice Jeep Cherokees with good 4.0 engines and driving them out back and running the engine wide open until they blew. Such a waste of good usable vehicles. I'm sure it happened to a lot of others as well but as a jeep guy that hurt me.

Stevens 16 ga double barrel handed down from my dad who bought it new. Still have it. One of my boys will have it someday but for now it's staying with me.

I've had the first dose too and get the second at the end of the month. Like highpower I was at the doctor for a checkup and he encouraged me to take it. He had it set up for me to take it then if I wanted it. I did ask several questions before I agreed to do it. I went from probably not going to take it to glad I did. He didn't push me to take it but did tell me I made the right decision. I'm not trying to talk anyone into doing it but still believe it's everyone's personal choice and I understand having doubts about it because I sure did. Between being 65 and being encouraged by my doctor, who had it himself, I decided to do it.
