1. You have to determine what your hit factor was for 4 Bill (Number 08-01), then using the link that DaG posted, using the appropriate division you shot in, look up 08-01 and enter your hit factor.  It will then show what your Percentage is for that classifier.
2. Hi Rickey,  I understand your question - How did I do?  When you are the only one in the division, you finished first ......but you also finished last so it is difficult to judge how you did.  I looked at you score for the classifier stage - 4 Bill, and you had a hit factor of 3.59 (very nice).  How you score on the classifiers is how you are ranked.  With the classifiers, USPSA has accumulated a lot of data from a lot of shooters.  Based on this historical data the "maximum" hit factor for a particular stage, or 100% hit factor is determined.  Then your hit factor for that stage is compared to the max to get your percentage.   GMs are 95-100% Masters are 85-94.9% A  is 75-84.9% B is 60-74.9% C is 40-59.9% D is 2-39.9%   go to http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-faq-details.php for more info     Now how did you do?  your hit factor would have put you at about 58%, or a high C   I Hope this helps.  Soon we should have the scores posted at orsaap.com, and there we will have all the divisions combined which will also give you a handle on how you did, though shooting a revolver puts you at a slight disadvantage.
3. Glad y'all enjoyed it.  Look forward to seeing you next year at the range.  Have a Merry Christmas.
4. The stages are up and look great- though some are naughty and some are nice!  Should be good weather and lots of fun.  Look forward to seeing everyone at the Match.
5. Always can use help. We start setting-up about 10 on Friday, the 14th.
6. The stages are up at ORSAAP.com so you gamers can start gaming (remember Santa is watching). Click on the uspsa logo to find the button for the stages. http://www.orsaap.com/USPSA%20page.htm It will be 6 joyous stages, about 165 rounds this month. Come on down and relieve some of that holiday stress.
7.
I wondered if anyone in our group was on this forum but I didn't want to ask as I was trying to keep a low profile and stay out of the way. I was going to use my Ruger P89 for the IDPA and will need to get a couple more magazines with holder. I may have to get a new holster since the one that I have does not cover the whole trigger guard. It covers the trigger and about half of the guard but I think I read where it supposed to cover the whole trigger guard. That is what everyone else's guns looked like this weekend. I do have one question though and realize this is mostly personal choice, but what would be a good entry level gun for USPSA matches. Ray suggested the S&W M&P or the XDm both in 9mm unmodified. I also like the Ruger SR9 but don't know if that would be a good choice. I tried to make out what everyone was using but it was hard for me tell.
All three guns you listed are fine entry level guns for USPSA. I am not a Glock fan but a Glock 17 or G34 are also good choices. Nothing wrong with the Ruger SR9 if it fits you and you shoot it well. If you are considering shooting some IDPA, all the guns mentioned, EXCEPT the XDm, are legal in the SSP division, which is basically equivalent to USPSA Production. For IDPA, the XDm is legal in the ESP division, but not SSP. And yes, 9mm is the way to go. Cheaper ammo, encourages more practice.
8. We will be setting up starting about 10AM Friday. Any and all help greatly appreciated.
9. Come out to ORSA (Oak Ridge Sportsman Association) and shoot a match. We are close and we welcome and try to take good care of new shooters at our matches. You will find that everybody is ready to answer any questions you may have. At ORSA we shoot IDPA on the first Saturday of the month, cowboys shoot on the second Saturday, USPSA is on the third Saturday, 3-gun is on the following Sunday, and Steel Challenge is on the fourth Saturday of the month. To start off slowly, the simplest competition is Steel Challenge. You can compete with a 22, no holster is required when using a 22, and you typically are not reloading under the clock. little to no movement required, and it goes fast. You will need 150-200 rounds to shoot a match. However, we get new shooters all the time at USPSA and IDPA. There is a USPSA match this coming Saturday, the Nov 17. Come on out, we will take good care of you. You will need a 9mm, 40 or 45 caliber pistol, a holster and 4-5 mags (only 3 allowed for IDPA) and mag pouches. 3-gun is a lot fun, but I recommend you get comfortable with some pistol matches before you go into 3-gun competition. Please feel free to PM if you have any questions. You can go to ORSAAP.com for more details, and you do not have to be an ORSA member to shoot the matches.
10. Stages are up at orsaap.com -- click on the uspsa logo then click on the "stages" button
11. To honor our Veterans and show our appreciation and thanks for their service, there will be no charge for any veteran shooting our November match - the Thanksgiving Classic. We would love to see our squads filled with as many veterans as possible. We hope to see you all at the range. Please go to orsaap.com for match details and directions to the range. Stage descriptions should be up by the end of the week.
12. The round count is probably going to be on the order of 140-160 rounds (minimum), with a lot of steel, so I would bring a minimum of 200 rounds, and that does not leave much extra if you need to do a reshoot or participate in one of the side matches. I appreciate the offer to help set up, though we should be OK with help as most of the ROs are going to be at the range on Friday to set up and shoot the match.
13. Slots are still available. Please go to orsaap.com for details and the pre-registration forms.
14. The stages are up and they look great. Nothing boring about this match. Come on out, the stages and the weather are going to be great.
15. It will be lots of fun, plus the weather should be good. We will be setting up Friday morning at 10 AM. Help us set up and shoot for free.
16. This month's ORSA USPSA match is the "Little Extortionist Holiday Classic" which will be held on Oct 20. The match will have six ghoulish stages including the classifier. Minimum round count 138, but beware, there is some steel, I would bring a lot more. The stages can be seen at orsaap.com - click on the USPSA logo.
17. As the title says, we will be holding our 6th Annual Toys for Tots match on 3 November ( the first Saturday in November) at the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association (ORSA) range. Registration forms can be downloaded at orsaap.com. Please sign up fast as this match does fill up. Details - There will be 7 handgun stages. The stages are a blend of USPSA and IDPA with one steel challenge type stage. We use IDPA scoring with USPSA type rules (no cover, concealment or reloading rules). No open guns, no race holsters, and magazine capacity is limited to 10 rounds. Prizes will be distributed using the Lewis system. Everyone will get a "goody" bag, and lunch will be provided for all registered shooters. Cost is $35 plus one new unwrapped toy. Hope to see you at the range.
18. Not a mover - rather some movement for the shooter (i.e. you are not standing still in a 3x3 box)
19. Couple things - the stages are set. We will be shooting the following classifier stages : 06-04 Fluffy's Revenge 1; 99-62 Bang and Clang ; 09-04 Pucker FActor; 99-11 El Presidente ;08-03 Six; 09-08 Crackerjack. You can go to http://www.uspsa.org...sifier-list.php to find the diagrams for each of these stages. At least 4 of the stages will be more fun than the typical classifier - there is steel on 3 stages, movement on 1 - so it should be fast and fun. The match is not full so please come on down even if you have not pre-registered. Look forward to seeing you at the range.
20. Scores are now up. Family emergency precluded posting scores in the normal timeframe.
21. It next week - please preregister..It you are just shooting 1 gun-1 division, you will be done in 90 minutes.
22. Stages are up. They will be lots of FUN, lots a trigger time, big time challenge. The weather is going to be great, no excuses, come on out to the range!

24. There have been minor revisions to the stages, all to due with the start position. The new stage descriptions have been posted.
