  1. As Hognut stated, Single Stack. It was made specifically for single stack 1911's. Every match we have several shooters in that Division.
  2. Come on over. It is not a bad drive at all from Cookeville. If you like IDPA, you will love USPSA.
  3. Being that it is time for the Ryder Cup, ORSA will be hosting the USPSA Ryder Cup Classic on 15 September. Stages are up on ORSAAP.com - click on the USPSA logo. Guaranteed to be fun. Look forward to seeing you at the range.
  4. Just preregister once. Squadding for the second (and maybe third gun) should be easier than the morning rush.
  5. Good news. You can shoot the match a second time in a different division. Therefore, we will also be having an afternoon squadding, which should start about 1 PM. If it goes fast enough, there may also be a chance to shoot in a third division. Cost per gun will be the same - $10 for ORSA members and $15 for non-ORSA members. Please preregister at orsaap.com
  6. We will probably list the classifiers before the 29 Sept match
  7. Most people don't care for the classifiers
  8. Any comments on what were your favorite stages?
  9. They were up on the USPSA.org site Tuesday. They are always up on that site first. On Wednesday they were up on orsaap.com
  10. They are also up at: http://www.orsaap.com/uspsa%20scores.htm
  11. Nice video. Hope you enjoyed the match. The turnout and weather was great, the stages challenging.
  12. we are running 6 stages with 5 squads. Squad size is typically 10-13. So you are doing a lot of shooting a lot faster. Should be done by about 1:30. The weather is going to be great.
  13. WE will be setting up tomorrow - 16 August at 10 AM. Any and all help greatly appreciated.
  14. must be made by 5.11
  15. It is on Saturday. Good help is hard to find.
  16. This is Mark. August stages are there. Try hitting either "control" and the refresh button or "alt" and the refresh button. That may help for some mystic reason.
  17. It is ALWAYS fun
  18. The stages are up for the August USPSA match at ORSA at ORSAAP.com. Experience Olympic competition with such stages as the "9 X 19 Relay," the "Shot Put Accurately," and who can resist "Synchronized Shooting." We will be setting up Thursday, 16 August at 10 AM, all help greatly appreciated. Look forward to seeing you at the range.
  19. Big Dots, perfect for those distances where you don't need sights.
  20. Great turnout today. I trust everybody had a good and challenging match.
  21. A STATIONARY Texas Star. Simply 5 plates arranged in a circle.
  22. Should be 78-80 and sunny for the match tomorrow. Stages are set. Come out and have some challenging fun.
  23. a lot of folks use rimfires in our monthly steel challenge at ORSA. We shoot it on the 4th Saturday of the month. Shooting starts at 10AM, be at the range by 0930. Cost is $10 ORSA members, $15 nonmembers. Bring at least 200 rounds. Go to ORSAAP.com for more details.
  24. The stages are posted for the July, Bob Hope Classic match at ORSA. Check them out at ORSAAP.com and click on the USPSA logo. There will be 6 stages, round count will be 114 rounds (minimum) not including the classifier stage. Recommend you bring 150-200 rounds. Hope to see you at the range.
  25. The USPSA classifier system is different from the IDPA system. WIth USPSA, there are dozens of "standard" stages, with very specific target arrangements. Over time, USPSA has determined with the top hit-factor for each stage should be, i.e. they have averaged the highest hit-factors over time to get a maximum for that stage. Then when you shoot the stage, you compare your HF to the max. After you have shot a number of classifiers, your percentage is averaged together, Grand Master- 95% to 100% Master 85% to 94.9% A 75 to 84.9% B 60 to 74.9% C 40 to 59.9% D 2 to 39.9% Every time you shoot a classifier, we virtually always have 1 classifier each match, the results get submitted to USPSA and it may change your numbers. It is sort like a rolling average but they use your best 4 (?) scores out of the last 6 valid scores are used. However, not all scores are valid - for example, if you shoot significantly below your ranking - you are a B shooter and you scored 25% on a classifier, that score is essentially thrown out. As stated above, we will be having a "Special Classifier" match o 29 September, in which will have 6 classifier stages.
