  1. Welcome to TGO! I feel your pain on the knee issue (literally).....I need to have replacements done in both knees.
  2. Welcome to TGO!
  3. Welcome to TGO!
  4. Absolutely! I had my purse stolen with my gun in it a couple years ago at Walmart, by a married couple (only know that because they were eventually caught)....the woman distracted me and the man took my purse. I turned out to be one of five women they did that to before they got caught.
  5. Hi MrsS! Good to see you're still with us! Congratulations on the new job!
  6. Awe! That's sweet Lucky. Hope you and your wife have a Merry Christmas! Best of luck to you in finding a new job soon.
  7. Natosha, Did you trade/sell you're Glock 26 for your LCP?
  8. Christmas is going to be tight this year....we're spending everything we've got on our son. Seeing his beautiful little face light up when he opens all his presents will be our Christmas present
  9. If anyone's interested in my AK-47 (see in classified section) I can meet you at the show with it. I seriously doubt you'd find a better deal on an AK inside the show. I'm definitely going to the show....just not sure which day. If anyone has an interest in the AK, send me a pm and let me know which day you're going.
  10. Yep, this time of year especially is when the theives come out in full force. They love Walmarts too! Be careful ladies, and watch your purse at all times! Never let your gaurd down....even if someone approaches you that appears nice and "normal"....don't believe it! It's sad to say, but you just can't trust anyone.
  11. I'd take two Bronker. Nice job!
  12. I tried to do the best I could with only 10 poll options allowed. If one of the super mods or admin would like to change the poll options, I won't be offended. Maybe it would be better if the word "monthly" was removed and it just said "benefactor"?
  13. Guys, when you do one of these, it posts the first part first....then it lets you add the poll after. Sorry....it took me a while to get it done....but there it is. And it only lets you have 10 poll options, sorry. If you're donating bi-yearly or yearly, or whatever, just write that in the thread.
  14. As most of you know, TGO needs our help to keep going. We're talking about it in another thread here, but I thought I'd start this poll to see exactly who would be willing to support TGO to keep it afloat...and how much we'd all be willing to give each month. Please, everyone, lets take this poll seriously. Think about your answer, and about how much you will actually be willing to donate to TGO - EVERY MONTH. It's going to take a certain amount of money every month to keep this forum up and running....somewhere, it appears, in the $200-$250 range....unless we can get lucky enough to find somewhere to host the site for free. So lets all come together and let Tungsten know how much help he can count on from us. I'm doing this poll outside of my "moderator" duties...this is personal and I'd do it whether I was a moderator or not.
  15. I still think we can do it if we all come together. I just mentioned the $3 a month because as of right now, that's what it costs to become a benefactor. Certainly, people could give more than that if they choose. I personally have pledged to give quite a bit more than the $3 per month, and I think many others here would be willing to do the same to keep TGO afloat.
  16. Guys, I've brought this up to Administration. I understand your reluctance to use Paypal. Hopefully, we can get you an address soon to send donations to. I know Tungsten is very busy right now and has a lot on his mind......so hang tight.
  17. All of us that love this place, and I know there are MANY, need to come together to insure TGO can stay afloat. Please, if you're not a benefactor already, I urge you to become one A.S.A.P. It's only $3 a month....that's less than renting a movie....and a lot more entertaining! I'm not asking this as a TGO moderator, but as a TGO member that loves this forum and wants to see it continue. Tungsten needs our help everyone!! PLEASE, lets help him to keep this place here for us to enjoy!
  18. Well, I'm bigger than your wife (5'11"), but a belly band or a fanny pack is my favorite way to carry. I've been using both for many years. A belly band would probably work very well for your wife because it allows complete freedom of movement, it's very secure, it's so comfortable that sometimes you completely forget that you even have it on, you don't have to wear a belt, you can wear the gun at whatever position you choose, and it will work with any kind of clothing....not to mention it's probably one of if not the most concealable ways to carry a gun. I also like a fanny pack, because I've had my purse stolen before and I can carry my gun and my checkbook/wallet in it. If your wife decides to try a belly band, tell her to get a 4" wide one....they also make 5" and 6" and they're a little less comfortable than the narrower ones. If she'd like to try a fanny pack....Walmart carries a GREAT one for like $5.79.....it has a large back zippered (quick access) pocket that's perfect for a gun, and a front pocket for wallet, phone, etc. I'm sure some more ladies will chime in and let you know what their favorite ways to carry are. Everyone's different and it will probably take some experimenting for your wife to decide what's best for her.
  19. Bronker, I like the "You Change, I'll Cling" idea....I'd take one or two of those if you make them. Guys, I can vouch for Bronker on the quality of the bumper stickers. I got one of his McCain/Palin ones and it was really nice. He was also quick to send it out and it was packaged nicely too.
  20. I don't think Mousegunner's got that MAK-90 anymore.....I asked him about it 2-3 weeks ago. I wound up finding a Hungarian AMD-65 (very cool btw!) at Mike's Gun Shop in Tazewell a couple weeks ago for a decent price. He only had two AMD-65's, a couple WASR's, and an AK pistol....all Century builds...but reasonably priced. I doubt if he has any more left because there were two other people wanting AK's behind me....but it sure wouldn't hurt to give him a call......and Tazewell's not too bad a drive for you CK. You should go check his shop out, even if he doesn't have any AK's....he's got some nice stuff. Good luck finding one!
  21. Wow! 1200 miles to buy your first handgun?! That must be some gun!
  22. Congrats on your new gun! Definitely keep us posted and let us know how you like it.
  23. Welcome to TGO!
  24. Welcome to TGO! The .357 mag cartridge has been around a long time and is still an excellent choice! Congrats!
