1. I think he is going to go for something more mild than those. I have talked to him and gave him some information. He said the S&W 41 is the high of his price range right now. My guess is he'll go for the Ruger or S&W 22. Those high end models are just plain wild. Thanks for the tips.
2. It should be a law that those people can be shot on the spot. Sorry I'm not sorry if I offended anybody with this. RIP Steve Jobs. I still think their stock will be fine. Hopefully it does fall for a bit so some can buy low and sell high (wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy?)
3. My dad wants one of these and I told him I don't know squat about them, so yet again I turn to you guys for some answers... Only one I really know about is the Ruger MK i, ii, iii and that's about all I could tell him about them. What should he be looking for if he wants to purchase one of these? What would be considered a fair price for new? LNIB? Heavily used? Also which would be the best to purchase for the money? Other than the questions surrounding the Ruger what are some other options that he can look into? I know of the S&W Model 41 (?) but those are a little pricey. I will be conducting some of my own research but maybe some of you can chime in faster than I can find out. Thanks, Will
4. Looks like I need to pull my ole mask out of the closet. ...just blew my cover

New 1911!

Yeah it's always exciting to get a new gun I recently got sick with the addiction to 1911s. I'm going to check out their site and day dream.

New 1911!

Congratulations! Post some real pictures of it when it comes in!
7. I'm going to ask one of the Knoxville Distributers about it tomorrow.
8. Oh okay cool. I know what I'm doing for the rest of the day after I get some snap caps. Thanks for the tip.
9. Pretty good deal, figured I'd give a heads up. Knoxville 1-Day Deals
10. I am not familiar with this trick... Also I have heard it is not "good" to dry fire a pistol? Has this opinion generally changed? I think I can handle that!
11. I finally had the chance to take my new 1911 to the range on Friday with the old man. I went through the first two stock mags fine. Then to the third mag my friend gave and shot 6 rounds and the 7th jammed. I assume it was because of a weak spring. Besides that the only other problems I experienced were two FTF. I really love this gun I had planned on shooting 100 rounds but I shot 200. It is very accurate, even with me operating it . I was hitting those "Shoot-N-C" targets and hitting all shots on the 8" target at 15 yards. I am a fairly new shooter so there was no real grouping. Basically I was all over the target. My dad on the other hand was grouping a little low but then compensated after a few magazines. His spread was 4-5" a little low of the center. The trigger pull is nice but there is a tiny and I mean the smallest amount of "play" in the trigger. Can't wait to get some more seat time! Also any suggestions on what to do about the trigger? Is it fixable by myself or should I take it to a gunsmith? If it were a better option to take it to a gun smith who should I take it to locally? I know of Coal Creek and Predator Customs, any experience with them? Sorry no target shots, I wasn't thinking about keeping them after the range.
12. Good pick! Mine is 418.
13. Just went to the range today, I planned on just shooting 50-100 rounds through it. However I couldn't stop until I shot all 200 rounds I had bought. I'll post more details when I'm not so sleepy.
14. God I hate them but I laughed when I scrolled through the link lol.
15. Darwin loses this round.
16. Also this game won't be as packed less parents coming due to all of the students leaving for fall break.
17. Seems like you were right Jonin so many people make this gun.
18. I know Chattanooga used to be one of the worst for Pollution which obviously effects breathing. I don't think Knoxville is that bad.
19. Hasn't it been that way for awhile? I actually get worse allergies when I go to my parents house in Atlanta. As soon as I step out of the car my nose feels "heavier" then I sneeze.
20. Good strategery sir.
21. Now these should of been the pictures for the caption threads. And you didn't post the best and last picture from that link lol
22. Her guess is that it's about 40 years old. I found it in a box that contained a box of Remington .25 (50 cartridges) for $3.99. Which I assume that was the last time it was shot. I'm going to see if it still works correctly tomorrow. Edit: This is about all I can find

http://www.muzzle.de/N4/Schreckschus..._ohne_ptb.html

Unfortunately I don't read German. It does look just like the Rhoner Modell "SM 12" on that link
23. I didn't even notice that in the first picture. Kind of does look like it's floating now that it was mentioned. I'm not into AR's yet but it looks really nice.
24. I did not want to hijack the thread so I made another one. I posted in the original thread that my mom might have a mouse gun, so here it is... She says she got it from her mom, but she doesn't know if it was her dad's first. I'm not sure if it even fits in the same class as the guns posted in the mouse guns thread. It does look similar in size to me though. Like I said I don't know much about it... If you can't read the slide it says... PIC DECATUR, GA CAL .25 (Then it has three odd symbols) MADE IN GERMANY I'd just like to know if anybody knows anything about it or can tell me anything. Thanks
25. This I believe some people can't let go of drugs (alcohol included). In high school I never knew why my friends couldn't quit because I could drop anything we did cold turkey. Now I'm a little older (not much) and have understood why people can't quit. Unfortunately I have only found out because I can not seem to quit dipping (chewing tobacco as some of you call it). I've been trying for about two years but I always slip up, within the first week. I'm still determined. Day 3 right now.
