  1. You need to order quick...Cav Arms is in trouble...stupid ATF
  2. Saiga 7.62 with skeletonized stock, CA Legal 10rd mag , and ACOG
  3. Great guy, great selection, excellent prices. You wont be disappointed.
  4. Thats pretty cool. I could see how with practice that would be quite effective and safe.
  5. dotsun at $169.95 I believe my total was like $184.00 shipped. Edit: the dollar is taking a beating...try not to wait too long. Until we give up our gun rights and Obamination gets in office I would say its gonna be a rough ride for the buck.
  6. I liked 300 but didnt think it was quite as "epic" as oh say Gladiator was. The Road was a great read. I just finished it this past weekend. Im kinda too scared to read any of Cormacs other books as I have seen some of the blurbs. Kinda sounds like the David Lynch of Books lol (seen Wild at Heart lately???). Again...cant stress this enough...if you want to see a GREAT action movie (I dont mean academy award, just gung-ho, kick-A$$, makes you want to shoot something after you see it action) go see Rambo it really is that cool.
  7. AimSurplus (http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/copy_of_7_62x39.html) has Wolf Military Classic 7.62x39 for $169.95 case. I bought one and would recommend anyone else does too while the price lasts. Edit: Glad I put my order in Saturday. They just went up today to $179.95 (still a pretty good price). www.classicarms.us also has pretty decent 7.62 prices.
  8. Thats the reason("I just want one") I bought the PS90 and the FiveSeven (cause I wanted one....ditto for most of my firearms). Also the reason I own a Supra and the same could be said for most of my customers lol.
  9. Some of you actual shooters(competition) surprise me with what I would have previously considered poor "maintenance". I have always been told to clean my firearms after everytime I shoot no matter the round count. Anyone else have opinions on this?
  10. lol I was thinkin bout using it on the Saiga...thanks for the info!
  11. Well I think the ending to 3:10 was to stay true to the original. In my opinion the Armored Coach Holdup at the beginning is one of the best parts. RAMBO is actually AWESOME. Best action movie I have seen in quite some time. It was as much a pleasant surprise as Rocky Balboa was. Stallone has redeemed himself. If your looking for a good DVD rental Mr. Brooks is an EXCELLENT movie. Twists, turns, and dark humor. Stay away from Chaos and War unless your only paying $1 on the Redbox (the greatest thing since sliced bread). Jason Statham needs someone to pick his films better.
  12. I hope you can run fast
  13. Its easily the most fun pistol I own. Muzzle rise gets significant with rapid fire, but OH how fast it can be shot. Lots more controllable then any 9mm I have shot and more accurate too. There are quite a few people on the FiveSeven forum that are actually on target at 100yds with it. Highly recommend one and surprisingly unlike all the other ammo prices 5.7x28mm has stayed about the same price ($20 per 50rds). Check with Coal Creek they have good prices ~$850.00 I believe. If not you can get on Gunbroker for $800-850. They are on the "too be banned" lists all the time so get one before the Obama hits office (im a realist). EDIT: If your ever in knoxville your more then welcome to try mine.
  14. I have mine "on hand" at work and carry before and after.
  15. It is a thing of beauty once mounted. I was at the Norris range yesterday and one of the guys from the Sheriffs department was trying to get me to trade for his red dot Trijicon lol.
  16. Not paranoid...prepared ;-D
  17. I carry around the house just because Im trying to get comfortable with my different holsters, etc.. I do usually like to keep one within arms reach just for safetys sake. Its not likely that if SHTF I would be ready for it and be able to go to my safe and choose the proper tool lol.
  18. Thats so wrong on so many levels. I would actually take a charger over the rifle and have thought about getting one. I like compactness of it, but you can still get better barrels, scopes, etc....
  19. Thanks for the excellent and informative report. Sounds like a very cool class.
  20. Molonlabetn your "Fire Marshall Bill" impersonations are about to get a LOT better! ;-D
  21. You have good points but still much easier for us normal civvies to get ahold of then a full auto...correct?
  22. I finally got to shoot my Beretta today (and also my Saiga, but thats for another thread) that I purchased used from the Rabbi. Well I can honestly say I didnt get J..... ;-D Absolutely love this gun. It shoots very good and is easily more accurate then me. Surprisingly my 32rd Promag Magazine/Clip fed perfectly with no hiccups and allowed me to keep up with the Glock'ers and their 33rd'ers. Definitely recommend the Beretta 92fs and the Rabbi!
  23. "Range Report" Got my ACOG sighted in today with the help of an extremely patient and nice vietnam vet and some friends at the Norris Range. The Saiga 7.62 is here to stay. If your in the market for an accurate, simple, and reliable rifle look no further (it is an AK after-all). I dont have any real experience with rifles or AK's but it seems to be very rugged yet exceptionally well built. At 100 yds using a bag as a rest we were able to get 2 shots less then an inch apart with Cheapo Golden Tiger Russian Surplus. Wherever the ACOGs Chevron was pointed at thats where it hit. I definitely will be getting a .308 Saiga now with a 22" barrel as I believe it will easily be more accurate then I could hope to be and will keep the 7.62 x 39 as my "plinker". I am very happy I bought the Saiga and saved the difference in it and the VZ to fund other projects! On another note Rabbi is awesome, dont hesistate to buy a gun from him.
  24. You can contact me if you want to drive out to Norris...me and Bullseye are gonna go blast some stuff (try out the AK and the Beretta plus whatever he brings).
