  1. XD45C here and love it. 100% reliable and concealable with the right holster and attire.
  2. GONE! Great to meat you Sean! Hope you and the wife enjoy! Jay
  3. Given away pending pickup this afternoon.....
  4. I've looked in to the "F1" error and the clock (main board) needs to be replaced. You can buy this part off of Ebay for $60. I bought a new cord for the new one so that'll save you another $20. When I shot the picture I realized all the crud that has dripped down the side for the past 7 years. (It just needs to be wiped down.) If nobody wants this soon, wife says I have to put it on the curb.
  5. Want to start Duracoating but the wife won't let you use the oven? You can have one for FREE! All you have to do is come pick it up. This Tuesday, our 7 yr old oven started flashing "F1" on the display and the temperature kept going up in it. (Wife was baking a cake.) I think she wanted a new one anyway. I looked it up online and it appears the main board (around $160) may be out. I haven't tinkered with it to know for certain. It is a 7 yr old, Frigidaire, flat top, with a stainless steel front. It's in good shape and I'll try to get a picture on here tomorrow. The wife wanted to toss it but I said I knew someone that would want it because their wife wouldn't let them Duracoat in the house. First PM with "I'll take it!" gets it. Jay
  6. Those are the velcro clips. I have also worn it with the standard "over the belt" clips and the sheep never even noticed. Jay
  7. Let me know if you find somewhere! I live in Arlington and can't find a place either. I'd love to take the boys out with the .22s out and kill some cans. I used to go under the bridge off Brunswick but it has been posted for a while now.
  8. "Slender" is quickly disappearing. Metabolism is slowing as age is growing. So far, I have only purchased one pair of dress pants that are big enough to hide the XD. I usually have the P3AT in the back pocket with my normal pants.
  9. I graduated from Bartlett with you a long time ago but, I have since escaped and can't vote there. I'd promise to keep quiet about the old days though! LOL You'd be up there with Chip Pleasant's dad. Jay
  10. Jim at the Beltman is awesome to deal with. I received mine about a month ago and it is great! 1.25", horsehide, with velcro
  11. Here is my XD45C in a MTAC holster with the Velcro clips. The belt is a 1.25", horsehide, Beltman belt. This is the most comfortable setup I have and I can carry all day without thinking about it. Who needs a PF9 when you have the right holster?
  12. Here are pics of my CZ PCR in a K&D Thunderbird Defender. I have a 1.25", horsehide, Beltman belt with the velcro sewn in. The sheep at work have never noticed the clips.
  13. UPDATE: I know TN_MIKE and he has updated more in anothter forum. He did get in touch with the owner of the franchise and they have removed the sign! She said she put it up because a "friend" told her she should. Win one for the 2A side!!!!
  14. Prepaid Legal....... I was offered this by the instructor (PrePaid Legal Agent) of my HCP class. I thought long and hard about it but did not sign up. Fast forward 7 years. I am interviewing a guy who had prepaid legal that he bought through the same place I took my class. He had recently gone through a divorce and used the "great" price Prepaid Legal got him on a quality lawyer. This "quality" lawyer was a young girl fresh out of law school with a procedure book under her arm when they went to court. He now lives in a room at his buddy's house with the sleeping bag he walked away from the divorce with. His cheating ex-wife got the house, cars, furniture, and alimony!!!! This may not represent every case and there is probably more to this story but I'll personally stay away from it.
  15. I ordered a K&D Thunderbird Defender back on May 20th and shortly after, Kevin stopped taking orders. That scared me a little bit but, a little over 4 months later, it arrived. It was well worth the wait! It was a little tight at first but I took his suggestions at breaking it in and it is great now. I love this set up because it is IWB, OWB, and tuckable. The color looks "off" in some of my amateur pictures but it is black on black and that is sharkskin to "pretty" it up. (The gun is a CZ PCR.)
  16. That's the same way I felt when I bought my first Fobus!!! If the BG doesn't shoot me, I'll shoot myself getting the darn thing out of the holster! Never fear. There are ways to loosen it up and it'll be great for what you paid for it. It will always require a quick "snap" draw though. Google it and you'll fine the answers you seek. Jay
  17. Thanks for the reply. I tried a 1.5 mm allen wrench in it today and tightened it up so the side to side movement is now gone. This will give me another reason to go to the range to make sure it is adjusted correctly. Ha.. Ha....
  18. I bought a CZ PCR back in the spring and I've probably put 500 rounds through it. It's a great shooter but I was cleaning it after shooting last weekend and noticed the rear sight had about 1/8" play in it. It is a Novak style sight and has a round hole in the top. Is there supposed to be a set screw in the hole to hold it still? I called CZ and they are willing to send me a replacement sight but asked me to remove the current one and give him a number off the bottom that will tell him the heighth. (I didn't want to remove this one until the new one arrived.) Does anyone here have a PCR and can you tell me if there is a clearly visible set screw going down through the rear sight? Thanks, Jay
  19. I have a CZ PCR and love it too!!!! I'm about two weeks out before my K&D Thunderbird Defender arrives. Kevin at K&D said he will resume taking orders soon. You should be able to find other pictures of his work around the net though. I didn't mind the 14-16 week wait because I knew the PCR would be a keeper.
  20. Why don't they just post a "NO KIDNAPPERS" sign at the door?
  21. Glock vs. XD vs. M&P 9mm vs. .40 vs. .45 MTAC vs. CTAC vs. Crossbreed vs. XXXXXXX Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge etc. Amen!
  22. I want to teach my 11 yr old to shoot skeet. (Although it's been a long time since I've done it myself.) I don't mind investing in the contraption to throw the clay pigeons if we had a place to go. I don't have a membership to MSSA or really want his first experieces to be "formal". He loves to shoot and I want to introduce him to another fun aspect of being a responsible gun owner. Does anybody know where I can, legally and with permission from the land owner, go to do this? I am just outside of the Memphis area. Thanks!
  23. He's on the other side of the state so I think I will be safe. I thought he might be in the business. I'll PM him. Thanks!
  24. I've checked that one too and it say's I could retail it for 19K. (Good sized adjustment for the low miles.) I'm really looking for someone that does this for a living and has one of those "magical" little black books.
